Durnerz Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Signs for Sunderland for £9million! What a rip off!
Toby or not Toby Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Is he even any good? £9 million is way too much! They could have had loads of Rab Douglas's for that!
Ashley Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Signs for Sunderland for £9million!What a rip off! 9Mill for a keeper Is he even any good?
JoeyB Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Scotlands number 1! And has been incredible for hearts for the last couple of years! theres a video about him on you-tube will look for it
TheBlinding Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 He;s the best keeper in Britain. Agreed, he's better than most premier league keepers but £9mill is still a bit steep
JoeyB Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Vid 1 Vid 2 Forgot to add unsure about the fee, but we'll see how good he is next seaosn!!! good luck Craig
filbertway Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 It might seem like a rip off, but I think he's a keeper capable of getting them the required poitns to stay up, so he could pay off that transfer fee within 2 or 3 seasons easily.
Tevez Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Craig Gordon is Awesome, shame about Sunderland being relegation favourates. Different team he would be class.
Wycombe Fox Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 So Hearts have got £9 million and they need a keeper...mmmmm Have we got anyone on the transfer list that might be tempted back north of the border?
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Silly money, but it's not the first time we've seen it this summer. To be fair he's only young, and they say keepers don't peak until the latter stages of there career, so they're getting an awful lot of goalkeeper for their money which makes it fairly relative (if only players were loyal these days). However, when Sunderland are relegated they'll end up selling him on for half that amount to a Prem club, unless his quick reflexes can keep them up!!
Finnegan Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 Why would you sign for Sunderland when you could go to Villa?
dandannieldanok Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 Why would you sign for Sunderland when you could go to Villa? Travel, only 137 miles from Edinburgh to Sunderland and won't have the same competition for his jersey at Sunderland either.
Finnegan Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 Oh, right. Only one hundred and thirty seven miles. That'll be why then.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 Oh, right. Only one hundred and thirty seven miles. That'll be why then. It's not that far really when you consider how far it could have been to a club like Villa, it may seem stupid on my part to suggest it but I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of his reasons.
Finnegan Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 When you earn what he probably will, I imagine it's pretty easy to hop on a cheap flight.
Geo V Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 At last! Now lets all pray that crazed owner sanctions Gordons replacement. Rab C Nesbitt Douglas. We only want £500k
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 When you earn what he probably will, I imagine it's pretty easy to hop on a cheap flight. Or an expensive first class flight!!
Geo V Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 Or an expensive first class flight!! Or buy a helicopter. But what about the Ozone layer? The selfish sod.
Finnegan Posted 8 August 2007 Posted 8 August 2007 Or an expensive first class flight!! Do they do expensive, first-class flights from Brum t'Edinburgh?
