The People's Hero Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 couldn't you syphon some out of your neighbours car. Good plan. Talk me through the process and I'll do it tonight in the dead of night. I've moved to couple of minutes from where I work. Might sell the car.
The People's Hero Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Don't see why I need a car anyway - I have a perfectly good catapult, with Ian Marshall in the firing bucket, a selection of ex-footballer Colins acting as ballast and even an ex-international overweight Swedish playmaker sleeping beneath.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 I can't decide whether or not I want to go out this evening. Part from that it's all about Palace and Sunday, steady all dayer to corking games on the tele. And working out how on earth Im going to get to the City Ground and back.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 August 2007 Author Posted 17 August 2007 The bank told me yesterday I can have £300! That's £300! An overdraft, obviously, but it tides me over until I get from job to job. It'll be a cheap night, there's a Goose and Granite in Wood Green that's the cheapest shit hole I've ever been in. Besides, it's a friend's birthday, can't refuse that. We'll meet you at the ground. £20 on the door.
Monk Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 We'll meet you at the ground. £20 on the door. So are we confirmed that tickets will be on the gate? Is TPH going to join us in our chorizo sausage burger party?
The People's Hero Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 So are we confirmed that tickets will be on the gate? Is TPH going to join us in our chorizo sausage burger party? Looks doubtful unless Claire wakes up tomorrow, stuffs £100 in to my greasy (and no doubt eager) palm and tells me to fu ck off to London to watch my chosen bunch of nomarks lose to a bunch of Londoners who are slightly less dis-organised and sh it than my lot. I'd rate the chances as pretty good.
Daggers Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Photons flout the light speed limitIt's a speed record that is supposed to be impossible to break. Yet two physicists are now claiming they have propelled photons faster than the speed of light. This would be in direct violation of a key tenet of Einstein's special theory of relativity that states that nothing, under any circumstance, can exceed the speed of light. Günter Nimtz and Alfons Stahlhofen of the University of Koblenz, Germany, have been exploring a phenomenon in quantum optics called photon tunnelling, which occurs when a particle slips across an apparently uncrossable barrier. The pair say they have now tunnelled photons "instantaneously" across a barrier of various sizes, from a few millimetres up to a metre. Their conclusion is that the photons traverse the barrier much faster than the speed of light. New ScientistRight, that's me sorted for the weekend. I'm going to Australia in the morning, New York for Lunch and back home to listen to the Palace game on the radio.

As this is a democracy, I think we should photon this to see if it's going to be allowed.
