NorthernFox Posted 25 August 2007 Share Posted 25 August 2007 Just checked on the BBC, 2 last minute bookings took us up to 6 for the match, £20,000 fine is it?
Tubes Posted 25 August 2007 Share Posted 25 August 2007 quite possibly do we still have that unfair play thing hanging over us?
Bluefoxtim Posted 25 August 2007 Share Posted 25 August 2007 Wasn't really a dirty game and he dished out 11 cards! Prat
Koke Posted 25 August 2007 Share Posted 25 August 2007 One or two nasty challenges and what not from Watford players, but over-all it wasn't a dirty game at all. Just a lot of handbags involved.
Cobbo Posted 25 August 2007 Share Posted 25 August 2007 Well the ref was an arse. I'm sure Milan can cope with the fine mind ou. Did we win 4-1? Yeah yeah!!
Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 What bugs me was that the two worst challenges by Watford players brought no cards whatsoever! The ref had an absolute shocker - the worst I've seen since the Derby game last season.

I agree. I was astounded King wasn't booked for his challenge at the end.
Nod.E Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 Forget a fine for us! The ref should be bloody crusified. And be fed to an angry mob of lions. And if he still isn't done i'll give him a seeing to. Cuz am 'ard innit
David O'Leary Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 Just checked on the BBC, 2 last minute bookings took us up to 6 for the match, £20,000 fine is it? All the cards are added up at the end of the season and if you have a certain amount you will be fined i think

Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 I think it's only Premier League clubs who are fined for having six or more players booked.
Micky Ruddle Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 Can anyone get into Europe via The Fair Play League...or some other shiznit???
Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 Can anyone get into Europe via The Fair Play League...or some other shiznit??? In the Premier League, yes. Actually they go into a ballot - something like three places between twelve teams. We won the Fair Play league one year under O'Neill, but lost out in the ballot. I don't think we'd have been near it in recent seasons..

Ipswich got in once didn't they, but like Leicester, they lost out too...didn't they?

Royston. Posted 26 August 2007 Share Posted 26 August 2007 Any fine should come out of the players wages. I know some bookings are undeserved but whats £20,000 split between all the offenders? Especially if you are fined at the end of the season by which time most of the squad will have at least one booking.
