Apparantly we are interested in Rab Douglas from Celtic!

Does this mean that our negotiations with Walker are not going so well??

No I think he is shopping around for keepers in general as it is a position that requires some attention.;)

We were linked with this sweaty before we got Taylor. I can't see why we can't try and sign Taylor permanently if we fail to tie Walker down for another year or so. I would like a younger goalie preferably.

Also, he was shit against Rangers on sunday.

He is utter crap, I mean total bollocks.

He is behind Neil Sullivan and a couple of teenagers for the number one shirt for Scotland. He has been fairly poor for a couple of seasons now all but a Luis Figo penalty save in Braga a couple of years back.

CL must be looking elsewhere for a GK, please.

He isn't that bad. I am sure he would make a more than steady back-up and maybe a decent number 1

Have to agree there..he hasnt got 15 Scotland caps for nothing.A good signing but keeper wise i would prefer Rob Green or even Andy Marshall

No he has, Berti Vogts and his dimwitted sidekick Tommy Burns seemed to think he was okay when the rest of us could see he was poor. I could be Celtic's 'keeper as no one other than Rangers ever gets a shot off against them :P

Sorry I didn't know we had a transfer budget of about 3-5 million..... ;)

Robert Green is not that good at all!!!

Sturat Taylor and Ian Walker are better then him. He is over rated.

have to disagree there...according to opta stats he has the best shot/save ratio in the prem! and hes still young

Rob Green is the best english goalkeeper by a distance.

I think it's a little unfair to be overlooking Lars Hirschfeld already. You're all talking about either Douglas as a number two, Walker number one or Taylor number one. Lars has been brought here on a trial base contract until the end of the season and if he comes with the right attitude, which he has, he could well be our number two next season.

lollollollollol

Never laughed so hard at a post. When has Ian Walker been wanted by Man Utd and Arsenal. lol

Green is a quality keeper but no way nearas good as Robinson.

But I suppose I would prefer a 33 year old Ian Walker. He is far better. :blink:lol:wave:

I don't rate Rob Green either - did you not see the 3-0 defeat at Blackburn when Green fkced up for 2 of Blackburn's goals?

You can argue all day as to who is the best, but you can't judge a player on one game as they've all had crap ones.

But a truly 'great' goalkeeper wouldn't make 2 howlers in 1 game like Green did. I believe Green has a lot of potential and could be fantastic in the future, but at present he doesn't strike me as being one of the best keepers in the PRemiership.

Ian Walker had about 3 bad games last season where he made howlers. Seaman and Shemiechcal(sp) even had the odd bad game. The greatest keepers in the world even have the bvad game. Its unfair to judge him on that. Judge him on the whole season, behind a weak defence, he has been quality.

No he hasn't!

Ian Walker was quality in his first season with us behind a weak defence. Norwich's defence isn't actually as bad as other teams. Like ours in 01/02

Unfortunately you don't have be 'truly great' goalkeeper to be 'one of the best' in the premiership. The standard is not as good as it used to be IMO.

1 bad game, and your calling him shit. He is far better than Walker. End off! He will have more England caps than Walker will have I gurantee you that.
