Staf Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Good like odihambo, what a volley he scored in pre season
Sparky Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 good to see our promising youngsters going out on loan . got high hopes for eric
Micky Ruddle Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Good move for the youngster. Lets hope it is a successful loan move for him
DB11 Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 He`ll come back the new Freddy Eastwood . Its a good move as long as he features in the first team. Like all youngsters, he needs experience so good on the management to sanction this deal. As long as he doesn't decide to live in a caravan and go fly tipping everywhere
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Did Southend ever properly replace Eastwood? If not then he may feature a fair bit.
Sparky Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 southend lost 3-2 , eric came on in the 89th minute <_<
Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 southend lost 3-2 , eric came on in the 89th minute <_< Are they taking the piss? That will help him no end.
Brainy Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 They also signed another striker I think, aswell as letting one go.
Webbo Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Are they taking the piss? That will help him no end. Be fair Thrac, he only got there yesterday.
Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Be fair Thrac, he only got there yesterday. Okay. Just explain to me what use it is putting a player on for one minute of a game?
Brainy Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 It's not as if chucking a striker on for one minute is rarity in football.
Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 It's not as if chucking a striker on for one minute is rarity in football. I didn't say bizarre decision making was a rarity I asked what the point was.
Webbo Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Okay. Just explain to me what use it is putting a player on for one minute of a game? Looks like Brighton got an injury time winner, could have just been to run the clock down.
Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Looks like Brighton got an injury time winner, could have just been to run the clock down. Wonderful. Teach him the important things first, eh?
hebangsthedrums Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Are they taking the piss? That will help him no end. I should think helping him isn't their main concern. I'm sure if he wasn't on the bench they would have put someone else on for that last minute to waste time.

I'm sure if he wasn't on the bench they would have put someone else on for that last minute to waste time. I thought Leicester were only going to send their emerging players to clubs who were going to play them and assist their development.
hebangsthedrums Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I'm sure Southend will when he's been with the club for more than 48 hours. Is that a MM promise you mention?
Kilworthfox Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Okay. Just explain to me what use it is putting a player on for one minute of a game? Zelko Kalac
Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I'm sure Southend will when he's been with the club for more than 48 hours. Is that a MM promise you mention? Now you mention it Martin Allen made the comment. So there's no saying it will apply any longer.
Lord Nibblington Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I thought Leicester were only going to send their emerging players to clubs who were going to play them and assist their development. Yes. Quite right. Bring him back. They played him for about 4 minutes after only having him at the club for about a day. Clearly a waste of time. How about waiting to see what their plans for Odhiambo are over the next month?
Pete_foxes Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Good move I think. I would guess the 1 month might turn into 3 if his first month is successful which I have doubt it will be. If he has a good time at Southend I'd be interested to see him get in the squad for a few games towards the middle/end of the season.
Rich Fox Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Has gone on loan to Southend for a month. Not sure if it's already been posted. Hoped maybe he would come through from our acadamy and do the job in the first team. But it sounds like hes just another nearly player who come through our youth tem then get shipped out on loan then will probably be sold for 50p next year to some second division side.If our acadamy is so wonderful where are all these stars of the future. It is the only way we will be sucessfull is if we bring players through to our first team.Since heskey we have not had any decent players from our youth team.

Are you saying he's not fit? It's nearly September now and all Odhiambo is getting is bits and pieces like spells on the wing for the reserves. Sod me it is September!
hebangsthedrums Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Think its a bit early to be making career predictions for him. As for no good players since Heskey what about Weso and Mattock, & Stearman amongst others. Non as good but I would call them decent.
