Vardinhio Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Hello I'm not sure if any of you have heard Hey there Delilah by the Plain White Ts. Basically it was written about this guy who wrote a song about this girl at school to try and get her to be with him. It didnt work but some years later she wanted to be with him but it was too late as he already had a girlfriend. Someone I know loves these type of hidden meaning/stories to songs I'd love to tracl some sort of album down containing them for their birthday. Does anyone have any ideas??? Much appreciated, thanks.
Daggers Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 If you play Iron Maiden's Run to the Hills backwards it contains the hidden message...be nice to your Mum and do all the washing up, don't forget to take the rubbish out too.
Vardinhio Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 maybe hidden meanings is the wrong expresion. I kinda want songs thatare based around a story, or written around inpiration from real life events.

Bet you didn't know that one.
pete Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 I played "Candle in the wind" backwards and found this: Satan Satan Kill Rape Murder Murder Holocaust kicks ass Torture Pain Agony Destruction etc. It seems old Reginald has a dark, secret side as well...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Might be worth having a trawl through this website; http://www.songmeanings.net

Rocket-Ron Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Not exactly a hidden meaning, But a nice story. Try Skylon! By Gruff Rhys.
hairy Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 maybe hidden meanings is the wrong expresion. I kinda want songs thatare based around a story, or written around inpiration from real life events. You need to listen to the Wedding Present
Webbo Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 It wasn't hidden very well was it? Like 'Where's Wally' in the Northampton town trophy cabinet.
Nationwider Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 You need to listen to the Wedding Present That's the best advice you could possibly give anyone.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Like 'Where's Wally' in the Northampton town trophy cabinet. That's the cheapest, most random and unnecessary dig I've seen in a while!
Daggers Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Winning The Maunsell Cup every season leads to a damn full trophy cabinet.
Unit Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 that song by the police, every breath you take isn't a love song. It's about stalking.
