Paddy Kissa not used by Aussies

Paddy Sat on the bench for the entire game in Aus 0-1 Argentinia :@ we had a few corners and free kicks and were very light on for height could have really threatend from set pieces

But at least he should be fresh when he gets back to City :D

Was also annoyed to see Weso not in the squad but with the retirement last night of Josip Skoko he could make it in to the squad in the next 12 months.

Also saw 2 players that I thought would be awesome for the foxes one was a paddy lookalike in midfeild Carl Valeri

and a Jesus lookalike Josh Kennedy an athletic Peter Crouch who has a decent header was a lone striker who caused nothing but trouble for Argentinia as our target man.

It's a bit annoying that he's going to come back jet-lagged and not even have played...

Agree, could have atleast had 20 mins

He doesn't seem to play particularly well for them anyway, keeping him fresh for us is good.

Apart from the jetlag!

He had been performing very well for them up until the Asia Cup this summer. Then he had a pretty bad tournament, as did a lot of the Australian defence.

I'm sure he'll work his way back in to the starting XI soon enough.

On a completely different subject, I find it odd that Gareth McAuley very rarely get's a game for Northern Ireland since he came to us. Yet when he was at Lincoln in League Two, he played more regularly for them!

I guess that's to do with Baird's form really. Player of the year last season at Southampton and now in the Premiership after a big money move. I don't rate him as being that much better from McAuley from what I've seen of him though.

McAuley's lack of pace will also count against him at international level. Far less hoofing going on which is the opposition tactic he thrives on.

He won't be the greatest of losses anyway. Let him rest and he'll start against Forest next week.
