I wouldn't mind finding out about this glitch either.

Anyone ever use the "diablo" tactic and Daniel Braathen in... probably CM03/04 I think.

Braaten and Anatoly Todorov up front with Oskarsson in the arrowed centre-mid position. Insane. Utterly insane - 50 goals a season each kind of insane. Also, Chesterfield's premiership quality defense, with the likes of Alan O'Hare, Steve Blatherwick and Kevin Dawson - those 3 plus DeLaCuesta gave one of the best defenses in the premiership for about £3m. Lionel Morgan was unbelievable too. 03/04 was just utterly classic.

still doing good suprisingly, 1st season in prem: results so far

also on last day of transfer window managed to get in giovinco yes giovinco for 7.5 mill plus 10% sell on clause so very happy with that as hes quality! also got stancu for 3mill and kerlon for 500k bargain!!

heres my squad (get in there billy sharp - legend sheff utd sent him on loan to blackpool and ruled he wasnt good enough last season but snapped him up for 2.5 and getting my moneys worth) -

My first season in the premiership and I'm 8th. For some reason I keep getting (Fav) in the big matches against Man United/Liverpool (not sure about arsenal/chelsea) and my team only has a few changes from last year.

Im on a good cup run with Millwall at the moment.

Beaten Gillingham at home, then Crystal Palace and Colchester away. Birmingham at home in the next round.

It is with a heavy heart that ive had to sell Pablo Piatti.

I managed to haggle and got 9.25m plus John Mensah and Juan Arango for him at Man City. I even got it for the end of the season so ill have him till July 2010. His contract was running out and he didnt want to sign a new one.

This is intense. 19 games into my, er, fourth (I think) season with Racing Santander. Played 19, won 19. :mellow:

Has to be some kind of record.

That aint bad, i once went an entire season without losing or drawing with Real Madrid on 2001(i think) it was the one where Rio Ferdinand played for Leeds and Christian Vieri was immense. Including Champions league and the spanish cup.

Then i went and lost the first 3 games of the next season.

& I did an undefeated season with Betis, but the title was oddly close as I had a horrible habit of 'Doing A Leicester'. Conceded so many late goals it was unbelievable. I also cheated, slightly. Zaragoza just absolutely refused to be beaten (or drawn with) in the last-but-one game of the season so I committed the terrible sin of reloading not once, but twice. So. It probably shouldn't actually count as an undefeated season.

Still. This Racing game is rather freak. All I can say is Andres Guardado, Luka Modric and my army of wonderkids is comin' fo' yo' ass (Carlos Vela, Nicolas Millan, Kevin Monnet-Paquet, Bojan Krkic, Marek Stech, Joris Delle, I love you all.)

Oh. And I recently discovered the joys of Mirko Vucinic. Jesus fuck. Does that man know how to stop scoring?

Guardado is the best player on this game by far. I just can't blady afford him. Or put him anywhere in my team.

Im having trouble playing Kevin Doyle and Benni McCarthy because Mauro Zarate is so pissing good. And Piatti is keeping Arshavin out of the team!

Not quite sure who you are, obviously, but if you're playing a top flight club in the first season there's basically no excuse for not having one of either Modric, Vucinic, Vela or Guardado on the first day. Guardado will, 9/10 go somewhere for about £2m in the first week. Vela and Vucinic are both on loan but Vela can be picked up for about £3m.

Vucinic will even come to you if you're a good second-tier team because he starts the season at Lecce (on loan at Roma.) He can be picked up for about £3m and WILL score, straight away, 30+ goals a season in any attacking team in any league. Modric is another £2m that goes from Dynamo, I think, in the first game week.

Oh, but, I've just realised I'm talking about 2007. I didn't buy '08. :blush:^_^

OH! And Luis Jimenez (again, '07 here) starts the game at third tier Ternana and for some reason is on NOBODY'S radar so you should be able to pick him up for about £2.5m and he's a champions league quality playmaker that'll go to a Championship team. :thumbup:

Bit gutted tbh, signed James McCarthy from Hamilton Accies. The update has spelt his name as McCarthur. Now it look's like i've got Ellen McCarthy playing centre midfield.

All of them have continued thier excellence into 08 but are fooking expensive now.

Im Leicester in prem 3rd season. Guardado is worth 20m (Liv), Modric 28m (Ars), Jimenez 15m (Inter), Vela 12m first team at Arsenal.

Vucinic i could afford but i have Zarate so don't really need him.

I don't know about on '08 but Vucinic is probably the best striker I've ever had. He might not have the wonder ratings of a Ronaldinho or a Ronaldo but he... just... scores, it's quite incredible.

The trick is to get them in the very first week. '07 or '08 doesn't matter, Andres Guardado should start at Atlas still... maybe Depor, either way he shouldn't cost that much relatively. Modric should still be at Dinamo at the start of your game, too, and Vela will be on loan at Osasuna I imagine. Of course, if you're playing at Leicester these are all irrelevant as you're starting in the Championship with probably about £1m to spend. :P

I keep signing young goalkeepers. I now have Enyeama, Ustari, Marek Stech, Luckasz Zaluska & Gianluca Pegolo. >_> How am I possibly going to play them all?
