Ladies and Gentlemen...

Mark has left the forum.

Please make your way to the exits.

Thank you for laughing very hard at his post.

Please take any wee that might have escaped with you.

Thank you and good-night.

but come on ; we were all thinking the same thing :D

It shows something about his tactical mentality: he'd rather get a tall defender on that can head in balls from set pieces than a winger that can be creative and put crosses in. Sounds like the Adams approach all over again. I guess Kaebi and Ferreira won't get much of a look-in this season.

I'm just glad it was Mark who said it, cause I was pretty close to saying exactly the same thing...

I think most people were... I was thinking it and about to head off to watch something crap on TV!

He'll be given the boot if that's the case. :)

And nothing to do with the fact that the player he replaced was an ageing 36 year old defender? Perhaps Megson should have left N'Gotty on the pitch so that he could sprint up the wing like a gazelle.

If we're losing with minutes to spare, you'd think he'd replace a tired defender with an attacker, like our international winger Marco Ferreira, as Mark put it. Not another defender-that's my point.

As much as I stated Megson's changes on saturday they worked out brilliantly tonight. Fryatt was magnificent when he came on, held the ball up, looked threatening set up the equaliser and played a part in the winner.

Also stearman for N'Gotty worked well although as the time i'll admit I thought "oh my God"

Goal by Richard Stearman (Leicester) left-footed (low centre of goal) from centre of penalty area (12 yards).Nottm Forest 2-2 Leicester. Assist (new thread) by Mark (FoxesTalk).

Totally agree.

Well done Fryatt - took your chance well lad, hopefully hes forced his way into the gaffers plans now.

So we're 2-1 down and we bring on Stearman for N'Gotty, can anyone explain the logic in this change to me when we've got an International winger sitting on the bench?

Unbelievable

Its Typical. Megson IS negative even when his teams are losing. Bloody Tipically you scored from it.

Don't worry you'll be defending 3-0 defeats in no time

Rather do that successfully than F****t who couldn't defend a lead with five minutes left.

I don't get why this was so awful. Three strikers on the pitch, one of whom is fresh. The big, old right-back is flagging and has had a mediocre game. Patching up a leaky part of the defence and injecting pace is going to assist the attack.

As I've said already, it's not the most obvious substitution, but its not THAT hard to see why it was done.
