What a joke.

Clubs get fined £2k for racism and Celtic get ten times that for some happy dude breaking through the stewards and giving Dida a friendly tap.

At least the cheating Dida is made to look a tw*t and got a decent punishment.

What so if you tap someone on the face. Celtic because of one moron should be kicked out europe and fined 10 million pound ? What a world we are living in these days. He struck him, you make it out he did a godfather job on him. Did the villa keeper go down like he had been shot. When that B-ham lad came on the pitch and slapped his face ????

The club weren't fined for what the fan did they were fined because he broke their security. Clubs are supposed to ensure that fans don't get onto the pitch during a game. Yes he did only tap him but that is not the point, and not the reason that they have been fined. Once he had broken security he could have assaulted Dida (or worse) if that had been his intention and Celtic are at fault because they need to ensure that they can guarantee the players safety.

Not really, Dida got what he deserved and Cetic are not known for causing trouble at any european games before and is like there first offence and why should one moron spoil it for everyone ?

Never thought i would say this but .... Well done UEFA.

They had loads of trouble there in years gone by against European teams, particularly Vienna.

In domestic football, an average of 7 fans are stabbed every Old Firm game.

The ref Hugh Dallas was struck and injured by a coin a few years back, in a game when one of their fans fell from the upper tier - the papers called it "the battle of Glasgow".

I think the ban on the play acting keeper was spot on, but I reckon that this fine is at the lower end of what Celtic were expecting.

By the way, I was in Glasgow last weekend and the moron that ran on is reportedly in fear of his life. Most people I spoke to thought "What a twat, and he's going to get a shoeing or worse", which should be enough to dissuade any other Celtic fans from letting their excitement get the better of them.

Celtic v rangers is a whole different kettle of fish. Celtic abroad travel in the tens of thoushand and are brilliantly behaved, infact they won the fair play award because of their fans.

That isn't a good enough reason for them not to be punished.

Perhaps the twat who tapped Dida should have thought twice. As if.
