My youngest son was born at the George Eliot. The place gives the impression of being ugly and tasteless in the centre but overall has more to commend it than you'd imagine. Not that I go into town centres much nowadays. Christmas is about it.

I'm in longford about 10 mins away but have only been there about 3 times in the last few years on non work occasions not much going on there, bedworth, coventry or rugby (thank god i live close to the M6!).

I live about 15 mins drive away, but have only been to the place a handful of times. You get some real scutters in those parts.

Having said that my other alternatives are Hinckley and Coalville! Plus Leicester of course.
