syston_fox Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 I think Ive seen part of it but it dont remember any of it so far
Geo V Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Its OK but nothing special! Nicolas Cage is one of my favourite actors though.
kidder_wolf Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Really good film but its no where near as good as The Rock. Nicolas Cages' best ever action film
Rincewind Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 good for action and blowing up things but storyline is a load of bollox. A plane crashing in the middle of Las Vegas smashes and destroys half the City and everyone walks away smiling and nothings said about the possibility of the hundreds or thousands injured or killed. And to top it all the casinos were still operating at the end. If you don't want your brain taxed the film is ideal.
Geo V Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Really good film but its no where near as good as The Rock. Nicolas Cages' best ever action film One of my favourite performances from him was in Face Off as both he at JT (not John Terry ) were believable.
Rincewind Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 He never said much though did he. Must be one of the few films where the leading male had fewer lines than the supporting cast. (Another one was King Kong. before somebody mentions it) Some funny lines in the film though. 'Put that bunny back' Couple in car just before body lands on it. 'Why is it as soon as I leave the carwash some bird shits on the windscreen'?
mancunianfox Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 That films a guilty pleasure of mine. Everything about the film (and nearly all of Bruckheimers films)...from Cage's accent, to the script, to the shot down the runway at sunset accompanied by aerosmith is so awful its brilliant. Malkovich is an makes an awesome villain. It is surpassed only by Top Gun and The Rock on my guilty pleasures list, with the latter being set in some kind of strange parallel universe. I wouldn't have even took a Latte onto the set of The Rock through fear that it might violently combust at random.
Smudge Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 I was in Las Vegas the night that they shot the scene of the plane flying above the strip. I had no idea why other than someone said they were shooting a movie. What I do remember is, that no-one seemed to think it an extrordinary thing to happen; I guess that's Vegas for you.
Webbo Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 One of my favourite performances from him was in Face Off as both he at JT (not John Terry ) were believable. I can never work out with that film why after they had swapped faces; a) There was no scarring. b) Nicholas Cage became 2" shorter and 2 stone heavier.

Apart from all the obvious errors, I thought that both Cage and Travolta were believable after the apparent operation had occurred.
