Katy Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 ...Jailed for 3 months for drink driving whilst being disqualified!
Cobbo Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 Crikey Brum will be pleased! Deserves it though, obviously. Giving so much money to such dumb men is clearly not a good thing.
Steven Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 Two-and-half times over the limit. Got off lightly. <_<

Dont do the crime if you cant do the time and other criminal related cliches.

Guest Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 If he'd been aan ordinary bloke instead of a Premiership footballer, he'd be given 2 years for this.

Hard? Being sold to one of the countries top teams at 15? Earning more money a week than his mates earn a year? It's quite pathetic.
Ricey Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 He deserves more than three months. A very very good player but one with a appauling attitude.
Ricey Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4307863.stm Good article about Pennant.
Wellman Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 Professional Footballers actually don't believe how lucky they are! What an idiot, hate it when people go and do this sort of thing
Anish Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 I'm glad he's been locked away for a few months - he completely deserves it. What a disgrace to football he is
Oli Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 I am one of Pennants biggest fans I think he is class. I aint saying he doesn't deserve the sentace but Roy Keane has been released free of charge today after allegations of hitting a teenager! I don't know if this is because he is one of the top players in Europe but he definatly deserves some kind of punishment!

To be honest we aren't in a position to make a judgement because we aren't in posession of all of the facts.
SilverFox Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 By this reasoning Dickov, Gillespie and Sinclair should all be in a spanish prison because there's 'no smoke without fire'

Personally I think it is irreelavent, drink driving is an unforgivably selfish crime and he should definately go to prison for it. I do hope that it makes him realise what he is potentially throwing away and maybe we may see a rare case of reform.

Scow Posted 1 March 2005 Posted 1 March 2005 KEANE CLEARED OF ASSAULTManchester United captain Roy Keane has been cleared of assaulting a teenager and causing criminal damage. The 33-year-old was also charged with using threatening behaviour for which he was also found not guilty. It was alleged he clashed with the 16-year-old boy near his £1.4m home in the Manchester suburb of Hale in September last year. The Irish international had denied all the charges at Trafford Magistrates Court. The star, who remained seated while the judge gave his ruling, gave no reaction on hearing he had been cleared. District Judge Paul Richardson said that a high burden of proof was needed to convict and he was not satisfied with the evidence given by the 16-year-old. He added: "It was clear to me this was a young man who enjoyed the attention that the incident had given him. "Given his motive was at best very questionable, I could not rely on his evidence." The judge added that the three charges of common assault, criminal damage and the public order offence arose out of the same incident and so all stood or fell together. Link - Sky News
