Koke Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Jamie Redknapp didn't think it was a pen either. I'd urge you to look closely for any clear tug, cus there isn't one. Jamie Redknapp of all people - The man is a Liverpool fan.
Milky Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Jamie Redknapp of all people - The man is a Liverpool fan. He's paid to give an honest opinion. Whether or not that's what he's given we don't know.
Geo V Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Minimal contact with the arm. Lescott was looking for it, and pushed himself back. If you watch it again, there isn't actually a clear tug back. Unless Lescott is 2 stone? It was minimal contact but had he not pulled him a touch, Lescott could have swiveled and had a shot from 4 yards, instead he went backwards!
Matt Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 He's paid to give an honest opinion. Whether or not that's what he's given we don't know. So is Peter Reid, He thought it was a peno, swings and roundabouts. At the end of the day the referee(s) make mistakes, Mistake's that cost teams.
Phube Posted 20 October 2007 Author Posted 20 October 2007 Jamie Redknapp didn't think it was a pen either. I'd urge you to look closely for any clear tug, cus there isn't one. You're just a regular comedian today aren't you!! :
Tevez Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 I'm sick at the Liverpool fans on Sky Sports, Redknapp and Concord (Thompson) Maybe they should get off TV and do some coaching.
AyewJoking Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 I mean just when you think Liverpool have a chance do actually win the league... he makes some stupid decisions culminating in taking Gerrard off with 20 mins to play in a local Derby!!!I don't get him... at all!! They pissed away their title chances weeks ago!
Geo V Posted 21 October 2007 Posted 21 October 2007 Gerrard swaying the ref's decision anyone? England senior players have gotten away with murder for years. Robson used to boot people and get away with it and we all know the likes of Alan Shearer got away with it too. Gerrard is another who influences them and yesterday was the perfect example.
Anish Posted 21 October 2007 Posted 21 October 2007 Let's be fair, Gerrard has been woeful now for weeks but is immune from any kind of criticism from the media or the fans because of his previous achievements. He was poor in both England matches recently and shouldn't be deemed to be 'untouchable' (like Beckham was a few years ago when he could do no wrong ). Benitez was right in the end, Lucas was the one that got the penalty. I just wish people would stop believing the hype surrounding Gerrard and dare to sub him off if he's not playing well.
Lord Nibblington Posted 21 October 2007 Posted 21 October 2007 Jamie Redknapp didn't think it was a pen either. I'd urge you to look closely for any clear tug, cus there isn't one. Peter Beagrie thought our goal yesterday was offside. I urge you to actually have a quick think about that sentence.
