teblin Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Last night's performance was verging on the criminal. Megson said we worked hard, fair enough, Weso pulled his weight but others ran around like headless chickens against a surpisngly poor Sheff Utd team (actually not surpising when you consdier who their manager is). No shape, no tactical plan, no closing down, very little at all in fact. To make matters worse it looks like Clemence has a long term injury. Possibly one of the worst performances I have witnessed in the last 25 years (and that's saying something when you think Taylor, Levein etc). A midfield with Chambers and Newton looked so ordinary it was painful. The only positive right now is that Hume will be back Saturday. The overwhelming negative is Mandaric and Megson. The former's strategic decision making/taking is sadly lacking, how he was lucky to have had a half decent manager at Pooroldpompey in Harry Redknapp. As for Megson's ability to get the best out of the players, if last night was the evidence, heaven help us. Another gradgrind of a season in prospect. Disappointment writ large. I like hume, but he has been part of this crap side for 3 seasons as well.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I like hume, but he has been part of this crap side for 3 seasons as well. Won't you allow me one small crumb of comfort? Haven't felt this down about the City for ages. At least Hume shows passion and desire, both sadly lacking last night (bar Weso).
The People's Hero Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Right i've been a pissed off City fan for a few years now like many, there's pissed off and there's a different level, currently i'm on the different level, i've not felt this way to many times, infact I can only remember being this pissed off once in the past and that was Leicester City v Leeds United with Garry Parker in charge (Temporary Charge just after Peter Taylor had been sacked) think it was a cup match that was lost about 6-0 or something, it was the fact we'd lost it was just Peter Taylor had fuked us up, we were going no where, e.t.c, just all built up and it took me to the edge! Well I feel like it again, not sure if anyone else is this way but i'm almost ready to turn my back on City...But I ain't got the heart, and that's the fuking annoying part, however much City annoy me or how pissed off I am I cannot stop going, It's been a waste of money for 4/5+ years now, but i'm still throwing it down the drain. At this current moment, I ready to say fuk it i'm not going Saturday, but I know i'll still be there Wow - it takes a lot to piss you off as well, it's not like every post of yours is a moan about someth.... ah.
SamL Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 It was depressing. At one point we had porter on the right, newton on the left. Surely its meant to be the other way round? Newton doesnt have a left foot and porter doesnt have a right foot to be honest! they are both crap. SORT IT OUT................BERNIEEEE!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I was going to go to Whitby at the weekend until I found out that it's goth weekend there and the white faced twats have booked everywhere up. So I've now got no excuse not to go to the Barnsley game. Bum. Crap on the pitch and surrounded by cretins. In ten years of being a season ticket holder I cannot remember it being such a chore. KTF etc
