davieG Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Those Pilgrims are so unethically what would their Fathers think? Source Swindon have warned Plymouth off making an approach to take Paul Sturrock back to Home Park to replace Ian Holloway. The Pilgrims are still coming to terms with losing Holloway to Championship rivals Leicester City and reports have claimed that a move for Sturrock could be on the cards. However, Swindon director Bob Holt has told Plymouth to forget about it while Sturrock himself is distancing himself from the speculation. "We have spoken to Paul and there has been no approach from Plymouth or anybody else," Holt revealed. "We certainly would not welcome one either, and we do not comment on what is pure speculation." Sturrock himself added: "I never comment on speculation. All it does is cause unrest and that's as far as I'm prepared to discuss it."

Matt Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 So IF they get Sturrock will they be calling him disloyal? Infact if they take anyone who is currently in a job will they be calling them disloyal? e.t.c?
Joe. Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Swindon can't afford to say no can they? I'm sure I've read somewhere that Sturrock has said he wants to leave Swindon because of the club's financial situation and so they could receive compensation if he did go somewhere else.

I don't see how you can make little remarks about them hating Ollie for leaving in such circumstances when you still hate Dickov for doing pretty much the same thing.
Matt Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 I don't see how you can make little remarks about them hating Ollie for leaving in such circumstances when you still hate Dickov for doing pretty much the same thing. As i've said it's different when the shoes on the other foot, we've been through it many times before, i'm sure they have. Also did Holloway go on holiday with Plymouth's money, go out get pissed when he was supposed to be there to get fit (Which then led to them tarts making bullshit up) and get Plymouth the pay his legal fees? I know it was unlucky, wrong place, wrong time, and i'm not saying anyone shouldn't go out and have a good time but when your there to get fit?! Then to say "I'll definetly be here next season" when if you believe the rumours he had already bought a new house up north all in place for the move... Besides yes at the time I was upset about it, but I wasn't the only one, not at all. I was upset about Heskey going - I'm over it, realising actually we had Liverpool's pants down. I was upset about O'Neill going - Ironically coming out today and saying he doesn't want the England job because he has a contract to honour at Villa...Yes Martin. I was upset about Dickov. And i'm sure if I went back I could think of many that I was upset and bitter about going but it's another subject. Besides it's not the clubs/clubs fans i'm having a go at when I have slagged managers/players off before, It is the managers/players i've slagged off...What is the point in a contract at the end of the day! But yet we as fans and a club are getting called - Wankers, Bastards, ****s...It's Holloway who's lied...Or has he?! He and Mandaric denied this start of the week, IF this deal has been done all above board within rules (Which I hope it has) back then that was the truth. Although apparently Holloway said "He loved the place, fans, e.t.c" all the general bullshit that's said when leaving a club is imminent, which does wind me and people up understandably.
Brainy Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 He's just been given permission to speak to Plymouth.
Ultra Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Sturrock confirmed as Plymouth boss Hopefully the self-righetous moralising by our friends in the west will now cease!
