Mikey Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 He actually cares about this club. Hence being close to tears after scoring, hence always giving everything he's got.He should've been made captain at the start of the season imo. Agree, with every bit of that. He is one of the few that really give a damn about the club and the fans. Well done Humey

Muz Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 Hume is the one and only player that gives 110% every game. Whether we're getting mauled or crusing through a game (which is'nt often, actually never at all ) he gives the same energy and commitment. Legend in the making

Legend in the making Was saying, out of our current squad, i can only see, Hume and McAuley staying here for a long period of time.

Yeah I'd agree with that maybe Sheehan aswell. I would refrain from playing him at LW though he is'nt pacy enough , slows alot of things down.

Yeah I agree, i said he did that alot at Bristol. Mmany times when we're on the counter he turns back and lets them get men back behind the ball.

True. Mattock would be better suited at LW than Sheehan. Least Mattock tries to keep the momentum going by trying to take players on
Geo V Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 If I had the choice of a lazy forward who doesnt run around much but scores 20 gaols a season or a hard-working dude who runs all day and scores 5, I know which one I`ll choose. I know fans love someone who apparently cares and runs around but we have to ask for more than just energy. Hume actually has fantastic quality in his shooting and is very capable but like most others is under-achieving at the moment.

Sometimes you need a guy in the team who runs around and scores 5 so that the lazy one can score 20. Two lazy strikers aren't going to get you 40 goals.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Hume is inconsistent. He's always been the same. He'll go for weeks without scoring then get five in five games or something stupid. Hopefully Tuesday night was the start of one of his customary purple patches.
