Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Not exactly but if we offer them about properly instead of sticking them on the transfer list and hoping for the best we would get somewhere. So basically Holloway needs to click on "Offer to clubs" rather than just "Transfer status > Transfer listed". Gotcha.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 So basically Holloway needs to click on "Offer to clubs" rather than just "Transfer status > Transfer listed".Gotcha. I hope he's got the latest patch, it's impossible to get any club to accept any of your offers without it.
Dames Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 So basically Holloway needs to click on "Offer to clubs" rather than just "Transfer status > Transfer listed".Gotcha. lol Something along them lines i guess. If they was free transfers people would take them (Either get rid now for free or waste more money paying wages untill they get to leave for free anyway) Andy Johnson ended up at Barnsley so its possible to offload them someones just gotta try.
Fat Ron Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Realistically I think contracts being terminated by mutual agreement will need to take place. If clearing the deadwood is a priority for Ollie then Milan should write off a million to clear players contracts, saves wasting another million on players whose expanding wages we cant really budget for.. Wipe the slate clean and let him bring in 4 or 5... then we can argue the toss and judge Ollie on tactics and selections.

The only ones we could realistic lose through mutual contracts are Hammond, MDV, Douglas, Maybury, Kenton, Newton, and Sheehan all with 2008 contracts. The fact that we couldn't unload the first 5 during previous transfer windows suggests their salaries are relatively high so would cost a pretty penny for 6 months of contract each. As for Neilson, Cort, Kaebi, Hellings, Kishichev with 18 months worth of MM level salaries to go they are going to be virtually impossible to shift. 10 - Dudley DJ Campbell - 12/11/81 - 20/07/2007 - July 2011 14 - James Wesolowski - 25/08/1987 - 02/07/2007 - July 2011 23 - Joe Mattock - 15/05/1990 - 09/11/2007 - Nov 2010 6 - Stephen Clemence - 31/03/1978 - 13/07/2007 - July 2010 7 - Iain Hume - 30/10/1983 - 31/08/2005 - July 2010 21 - Conrad Logan - 18/04/1986 - ??/??/2000 - July 2010 22 - Levi Porter - 06/04/1987 - ??/??/1997 - July 2010 15 - Jonathan Hayes - 09/07/1987 - 04/07/2007 - July 2010 2 - James Chambers - 20/11/1980 - 26/06/2007 - July 2010 29 - Ricky Sappleton - ??/??/???? - 06/06/2007 - July ???? 4 - Bruno N'Gotty - 10/06/1971 - 04/06/2007 - July 2009 1 - Jimmy Neilson - 06/08/1977 - 04/06/2007 - July 2009 9 - Carl Cort - 01/11/1977 - 04/06/2007 - June 2009 18 - Sergio Hellings - 11/10/1984 - 19/06/2007 - June 2009 8 - Radostin Kishishev - 30/07/1974 - 19/06/2007 - June 2009 13 - Hossein Kaebi - 23/09/1985 - 05/07/2007 - June 2009 3 - Patrick Kisnorbo - 24/03/1981 - 01/07/2005 - July 2009 12 - Matty Fryatt - 05/03/1986 - 10/01/2006 - July 2009 31 - Paul Henderson - 22/04/1976 - 29/06/2005 - July 2009 5 - Gareth McAuley - 05/12/1979 - 05/06/2006 - July 2009 17 - Richard Stearman - 19/08/1987 - ??/??/1998 - July 2009 11 - Shaun Newton - 20/08/1975 - 06/07/2007 - July 2008 16 - Alan Sheehan - 14/09/1986 - ??/??/2003 - July 2008 19 - Elvis Hammond - 06/10/1980 - 31/08/2005 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 20 - Mark de Vries - 24/08/1975 - 06/01/2005 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 28 - Darren Kenton - 13/09/1978 - 27/06/2006 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 24 - Louis Dodds - 08/10/1986 - ??/??/2003 - 01/06/2008 25 - Max Gradel - 30/11/1987 - Offered & Signed New contract May 2007 31 - Eric Odhiambo - 12/05/1989 - Offered & Signed New contract May 2007 37 - Andy King - 29/10/1988 - Offered & Signed New contract May 2007 39 - Ashley Chambers - 01/03/1990 - ??/??/1998 - Youth Contract TRANSFER LISTED 19 - Elvis Hammond - 06/10/1980 - 31/08/2005 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 20 - Mark de Vries - 24/08/1975 - 06/01/2005 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 28 - Darren Kenton - 13/09/1978 - 27/06/2006 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 Alan Maybury - 08/08/1978 - 06/01/2005 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007 Rab Douglas - 24/04/1972 - 06/06/2005 - July 2008 - Transfer Listed June 2007
Guest Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 There is no way I'm older than Kishishev. Seriously.
Thracian Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 :laugh:Are you not forgetting Mutal Termination? That sounds interesting! Do you know where we can find Mutal?
Thracian Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 What political reasons Thrac? I'm not going to elaborate because a) I have no proof or first hand information and b) it wouldn't serve any good purpose. But various commentaries over the last six months might offer some clues if you care to sift them out.
Simi Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 There is no way I'm older than Kishishev. Seriously. What? I was debating whether you were older than Alan Sheehan myself!?
Leicester-Sam Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 I have to admit that I am confused by Ollie's outbursts. One minute he's telling us to get behind the team and trust him to fix it, the next he's publicly threatening them. Glad I'm not the only one who's spotted that. So much bullshit, he's like a reject from some bad comedy show.
Ultra Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Glad I'm not the only one who's spotted that. So much bullshit, he's like a reject from some bad comedy show. So why do you suggest bringing Warnock in, who would be even worse?
Guest Posted 11 December 2007 Posted 11 December 2007 What?I was debating whether you were older than Alan Sheehan myself!? I like you.
