Tevez Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Come on Shepherd!!! He does look like a right spoon when he throws his arrows though.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 No. WHAAAAT ? This year has been weird because all the talented players are out. Mardle wins then its a complete and utter joke. He is great to watch but not a world champion.

Hugo Sanchez Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Well he's out. He's not good enough to be world champion to be fair. He is exciting to watch (darts that is ) and makes for good tv but has one great game then 10 crap ones.
isaidno Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Kirk Shepherd stunned Wayne Mardle 6-4 to set up a PDC World Darts final against John Part on New Year's Day. Mardle was tipped to see off the Kent qualifier after downing 13-time world champion Phil Taylor in the last eight. He took the first set 3-0, but Shepherd refused to be intimidated and led 3-1 before Mardle fought back to 4-4, but Shepherd held his nerve to triumph. Canadian Part had earlier booked his place in the final with a resounding 6-2 win over Kevin Painter. The former PDC and BDO title-holder raced into a 5-1 lead in their best of 11 sets semi-final before Painter pegged him back to 5-2. I'm on cloud nine - I'm pinching myself all the time Kirk Shepherd Part survived a minor eighth-set wobble at 2-2 to close out the contest with an ice-cool 130 check-out. "It was a tough match all the way through," said Part. "There's a lot of respect between the two of us. I think we were both very tight, but I probably hit more important darts than he did." But the evening belonged to Shepherd, a 21-year-old sheet metal worker from Ramsgate, who dashed Mardle's title hopes for another year. The 34-year-old from Dagenham has now lost at the semi-final stage of the PDC World Championships four times. Shepherd, rated as a 500-1 outsider at the start of the tournament, said he would not be content with just a place in the final. "I'm on cloud nine - I'm pinching myself all the time," he said. "I believe I can do it - I know I can win this."
Staf Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 John Part will win and i will be fuming because i cant stand him
Suffolk_fox Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 IS JAMES WADE STILL IN IT ? Blimey, he's a darts player now? I used to remember his TV programme, then I think he went to TalkSport. Highly controversial, but then I believe he often says things just to get a response.
l444ry Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Someone somewhere will be holding his pants tonight when Shepherd plays Part. This person(s) matched 39 quid at 1000/1 on Betfair against Shepherd winning the title.
purpleronnie Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 I've said it before and I'll say it again always back the foreigner if he's playing an englishman. Part to beat wade was the bet of the month, then once I knew all that was left was english I bet part in the semis and now in the final. Its the same system I used when I bet england would lose against russia then again against croatia (croatia paying a very nice 9/1...payed for my christmas presents). Of course this system dosent always work (i'd estimate so far about 75% sucess for me). There are exceptions of course for example if taylor (darts) was playing I would avoid this system. Also I pick and choose and go with instinct as well. But I have made a decent aount of money using this system. In fact I've been usuing this system so long that my parents mention it and they often bet with me. It has another advantage betting the foreigner if he wins you have the consolation that you won the dosh if he loses well at least the english won.
