It has to be a number that when you take away 1 divides by 3, and then that -1 divides by 3, and then that -1 divides by 3. In other words, it's a number that's one more than a number that's divisible by 3.

The 3 volumes of the books aren't necessarily on the shelf in the right order, e.g 1-2-3. How could volume 3 be closer to volume 1?

I'm seriously turning into the Hulk here. Anybody got the answer to 17.

That's the 1 with +3 -1 thing.

And a page of gobbledigook. Oh, and a page with a P on it.

Look folks, I have not in my mind linked each question number with what the actual question was. Gimme a clue here... like what the question SAYS.

Right.

You have x amount of fish. But the can't be divided into 3 equal pieces. So by throwing one in, they can now take a share which divides into 3 equally.

It works like that as each person chucks a fish back, and takes their equal share.
