Burnley match thread

To paraphrase MB's texts :

Tiatto is out otherwise the squad would have been the same as Saturday + Jordan. MB says nothing on the Trundle rumour and he will send the team in as soon as.:thumbup:;)

MB says the side is as follows:

Walker

Kenton

McCarthy

Dabizas

Maybury

Gemmill

Williams

Hughes

Stewart

Wright

Connolly

Subs

Gillespie

Nalis

Herschveld

MDV

Stearman

Not sure of the formation at the moment.

No Gillespie? I'm presuming Williams will play wide- or maybe Hughes?

I get the sense that he is resting a few.:rolleyes:

Gillespie was our best player on Saturday, can't understand it if he's dropped him. Gemmill :(

Hope Wright takes his chance if this is true, still a shame its come 2 years too late.

Maybe they will play 3-5-2

Walker

I'd rather have Connolly on the bench :o

You have to give CL some credit, that is a risky team to put out in our position, maybe it's shit or bust.

Kenton played one game and short for a CB

McCarthy never played a first team game

Gemmill can't be match fit

Wright still unproven

or you could say too many changes shades of MAs and desperation.

Only time (90 minutes to be precise) will tell... :ermm:

I reckon this is how it'll line up:

Walker

Kenton

McCarthy

Dabizas

Maybury

Gemmill

Williams

Hughes

Stewart

Wright

Connolly

As Gemmill apparantly used to play out wide right!

However if it is 3-5-2 It looks a very scottish midfield :o

Where's Canero? Wasn't even in the reserves yesterday. Also, Dawson wasn't in the reserves either but isn't in the sqaud (not that I'm surprised to be honest) - although somebody thought that was a sign that he would be included today :S

I give CL plenty of credit. One of my main criticisms of MA was the fact that he never changed things around. No-one can say that about CL and although he may not get it right all the time (who does  ), as long as he is prepared to face what is in front of him then he will get my support.

He played 12 times for Boston and 6 for Notts County.

true, I should have said at this level, I think my observations are still valid.

Not along ago CL sid Wright was ready yet and had a lot to work on and yet he is starting! We have got to be looking out for another striker
