Brainy Posted 20 December 2007 Author Posted 20 December 2007 He scores plenty of goals but he may just be another Akinbadbuy Without the 5m wasted.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Without the 5m wasted. Equivalent given our current situation. McLean hasn't done anything DJ Campbell or even Hammond couldn't do in his position. I'd be sceptical for the price tag they'd slap on him (definitely approaching seven figures if not over).
Koke Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 I can see a fan club already. He is gangster. I'm a fan already. Aaron McLean American Rapper, Chamillionaire.

maddog Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Good in League 2 but could turn out to be an awful Championship player. Who knows with these players, some turn out to be good e.g. Dave Kitson played in all the leagues others awful. League 2 is a huge gap from the Championship.

Which is it to be
Koke Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Gareth McAuley surprised us all by settling in so quickly and it was only a matter of time before he'd replace McCarthy. League Two to Championship is a big jump but McAuley did it and has done ever so well. Best thing Rob Kelly ever did.
MPH Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 If i am not mistaken the Posh chairman has come out and said he wont be selling to anyone outside of the prem in response to us and Charlton being linked with Mclean..

Geo V Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 You get these non-league strikers who score loads at that level and can step up and do well and some fall by the wayside. We have DJ who has done OK since non-league and others about who are similar players are McLean and that lad at Leeds (name escapes me) who was on loan at S****horpe last season. Lets hope that he ends up like another non-leaguer who came good, Ian Wright, Wright, Wright!

MPH Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 He's having a ****ing laugh then. League 2 to Premiership. Ha. agreed. found the quote. "I have a simple message for Charlton - and any other clubs thinking of sniffing around our players for that matter," MacAnthony told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "And that is 'Don't bother us unless you are a Premier League club and you're offering a serious amount of money'. "We're not prepared to listen to offers from clubs outside the Premier League. "We're trying to build a team capable of winning a couple of promotions and we're getting there, so we've no intention of selling key players." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_2994398,00.html
Koke Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 He's talking out of his Posh arse. No Prem club would ever come over for a player in League friggin' Two.
