Christmas Bonus?

It's a crude way of looking at it but the 1948 Glen Grant is going for £435 compared to £150 for the 1957... maybe 9 years on you'll be looking at a similar value increase. As it gets older it gets rarer right so yeah I would hold on to it. 20 years time it could be worth a fortune.

I'd never give my teacher £150 :dunno:

:o And why not? Clearly where you've been going wrong all these years. :giggle:

Must admit I was a tad surprised. But then, this family are seriously loaded so I guess it's the equivalent of a box of Thornton's chocs for them. I've got enough bloody chocs to start a shop!

Too right. Bloody teachers

Incidentally, just found out today that I got paid HALF of what I normally get this month.

So my Christmas bonus was .... in the red, a negative number... a Christmas tax effectively! :(

Well, ok, just some of them then!

For example, just this week, my assessor cancelled my exam on the morning of the exam

There is more, but it's not for general consumption...

Teachers are bad.

Throw bricks at them.

Not expensive bottles of whiskey. Send those to me.

Didn't know you were the whiskey type...

i worked for alliance and leicester for 6 years and never got a xmas bonus, and never got one in any job before that, so i was hoping that my new employers would finally offer up some cash....

sadly, my boss got me a nice bottle of olive oil and a nice bottle of red wine (consumed last night), and the complany gave us a box, yes a box, of salami and cold meat

however, norway kicks ass - it is really strange here, you don't get holiday pay but instead, in june (i think) you get something like 10% of your salary as a bonus, so if you don't take much holiday you're quids in....

also, in december, you only pay half tax, so a bonus of sorts...

I haven't had them yet but I have been advised that I`ll be getting an Iphone or whatever its called and a new laptop for Xmas bonus. The sad news is I`ll be buying them for myself tomorrow as I mostly work by myself lol

Well, yes, same here. I am thinking of buying myself a 3 skype phone for work, as I fancy being able to make free calls abroad through skype while on the go.

Alternatively a phone with free Wii, is also tempting... Cannot make up my mind!

Thought about getting a Skype phone when my 3 contract runs out. Only know two people on it though. Use the internet modem attachment. Ok for on here but poor reception at work for fulltime browsing.

Not got any bonus yet. Last chance shift tonight before Xmas. Cant see the boss making a special jouney over from Nottingham to give me a bottle of wine though. Got next two days off though which is good enough even if I dont get any double pay. Working Boxing Day so will miss City's game. Not sure if thats a bonus in itself. :scarf:
