Trains From:

Change 10 times and you'll get there, it's absurd.

Get off at Cov, then jump on a train to Leicester? I've never done it before. I just get fed up with bloody driving.

An absolute bag of knackers.

The usual way is to get the train/bus replacement service from Coventry to Nuneaton, and then the train from Nuneaton to Leicester.

You can go Coventry to Birmingham and then Birmingham to Leicester but it doesn't take any quicker and it costs more because you're going to Birmingham.

Watch out for the buses/trains between Cov and Nuneaton on a Saturday, they're less regular than during the week and if you're not careful you'll end up waiting at Nuneaton for an hour.

Isn't too expensive.

I can safely confirm that after doing this for the majority of home matches I've been to in the past three and half years that Nuneaton Station is hell itself, I don't think I'll ever spend as much time waiting at any station in the world as much as I have at Nuneaton.

Grr.

Mk Central.

I know you can get a virgin to cov from there

You'd be better off going to Birmingham New Street and changing for a train to Leicester IMO. Same dilemma I always have travelling from Northampton. The other thing would be driving to Luton or Bedford or somewhere and getting the train direct to Leicester from there.

Surely you've enjoyed the delights such as The Railway Tavern and The Crown Inn then whilst you were waiting? Had the mis-fortune of missing the train back to Leicester from there a few weeks back and then found out it was a bus I was meant to be getting anyway and spent 2 hours in those two horrible boozers. They had some Thrash metal band on in one of them as well, a real treat.

Not easy then. Same line as Norhtmapton, but some trains go direct to Cov.

Probably takes the same time to drive to Leicetser as if i were to try either of those two stations.

I don't know, i bet it's probably quite expensive too??

I think it's about £15 return via Cov. Not sure about the other line, I've never done that cos if I'm not driving it's cos I want to have a few jars in order to get through another 90 minutes of shite without quite wanting to kill myself.

Train from Luton will be fairly cheap I'd have thought but then you have to pay for parking there etc.

Bedford is 45 minutes to leicester, Luton is another 20 minutes on top of that. Would be about £20!

I can get the small crappy train direct to bedford from where i live for pittance.

That or the Birmingham route. Either way i think it will be the same cost/time.

Easiest way is to get a National Express coach from Milton Keynes to Leicester. Dep 9:55 11:00 or 11:30 and the journey is 1hr 15mins straight there according to www.nationalexpress.co.uk

Only problem is last coach back is at 19:05
