FilboFox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Well, its here again, and not a moment too soon might I add! I really, REALLY want Serena to win and someone other than Federer in the men's to get the title. What does anyone else think?
FilboFox Posted 13 January 2008 Author Posted 13 January 2008 I just hope Murray has a good run really. Meh... I'm not fussed about Murray... but I obviously hope that he does well... can't see it happening though.
Brainy Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I must admit it gets boring watching Federer win everything, though id rather see him win than Murray.

SamL Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I just hope Murray has a good run really. Agreed. He's got a tough-ish opening match though so hopefully he comes through that ok. He's been doing pretty well of late and is now ranked number 9 in the world. Don't think he's good enough yet to win a Grand Slam but he could certainly give a few people a run for their money.
FilboFox Posted 13 January 2008 Author Posted 13 January 2008 I think tennis is a puff's game. And you would know because???
Lovejoy Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I don't mind Federer winning all the time tbh. I met him at Wimbledon 2 or 3 years ago and he was a really sound guy, unlike Murray, who was a twat. Leyton Hewitt is a bit of a legend, he was a right joker telling us they were gonna thrash us in the Ashes that summer!
Fox You Forest Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 And you would know because??? He would know his opinion, Because it's his opinion
joely22 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Would like Nadal to win to be honest with you, although I think hes gone off the boil and I doubt he'll win any majors this season. Think Djokoviv will get to the final and give Federer a good game but to be honest, there's only one that's going to win it. As for the women, don't really care. Anyone who wears a short dress and grunts loud will do for me
FilboFox Posted 13 January 2008 Author Posted 13 January 2008 He would know his opinion, Because it's his opinion Great opinion it is too... "tennis is a puff's game" Some people should perhaps keep their opinions to themselves...

LeeCovFox Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I have no issue with Federer winning the Grand Slam to be honest, I love watching the bloke play. Comes across as a nice enough bloke too. Would like to see Murray do well though.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I'm going on Wednesday after work should be good i love Aus open time as i work in the city alwas see some famous face and the like around town. I personally think Djocovic will win the mens Federer has an Injury cloud and i think his the next best. In the womens draw theres half a dozen in my opinon probably Henin or Sharapova
lildave3 Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I just hope Murray has a good run really. Well, it was a good run...

Sorry mate, I was just being silly, you asked people what they thought and I couldn't resist it. I'll consider myself told off good and proper.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Ohh my god the amount of fit women currently around the city for the tennis is amazing. I know wont to get a dutch citezenship
Simi Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Tsonga beat Nadal Massive talent he is. Power house.
Lovejoy Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Massive talent he is.Power house. Isn't he nicknamed Ali or something? For obvious reasons.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Massive talent he is.Power house. I reckon he beat Nadal at Queens as well, he obviously got past the thrid round at the US becuase he ended Henmanns career. He'll be comfortable inside the top 32 after this tounrament. Definatley a top 10 player in the making, top 5 if he keeps that level of performance up. Looked absloutley fantastic today, best I've seen anyone play Rog aside. Whoever wins tomorrow it should be a good game, fingers crossed.

The first few times that I watched him it seemed a bit hit and hope, but he seems to of perfected the power he's getting in his shots now. Looks a great talent.
