Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3047345,00.html Wayne Routledge They've bid 1.8m, with Spurs wanting closer to £3m, so about 2.5m could be his final price.I know QPR are the sugar Daddy's at the mo and it would be difficult to mess with them but 2.5m for a player capable in the prem is surely worth a go.
Joe. Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 As it's shown we can't really afford to compete with QPR, and £2.5 million is still a bit expensive for us I think.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Disagree, considering we've paid £500,000 for Oakley, a player in the form of his career arguably I think we've picked up the bargain of the window. Routledge could be great in this league but he hasn't had any first team football recently.

If what you say is true then why is it Championship team's are bidding for him, He has great pace ill give you that but nothing else about him excite's me. I would save the money put it too a good use like a long term goalkeeper, Fulop or maybe even just some cover for other position's.
Raj Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 This is a bigger bargain!!!-- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7182920.stm
Jay Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 yeah bargain £1.8million and wanting premiership wages of £20 000+ per week for a moody sometimes excellent player!! let them have him for that
MikeyT Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 This is a bigger bargain!!!--http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7182920.stm Agreed!!
hairy Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 I know QPR are the sugar Daddy's at the mo I thought Ecclestone and Co where only "lending" the money not investing. Hes a tight git and I cant see him giving anything away. QPR have to be careful they dont just walk away from the club and demand the money back.
