Matt Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...3082325,00.html Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock sees something of himself in Leicester counterpart Ian Holloway - and has backed him to emulate his success.Warnock is the Championship's man of the moment after leading the Eagles, who had been struggling before he took over, to a 15-match unbeaten league run. He faces Holloway, who left Plymouth in November to take over at Leicester, on Monday when he takes his side to the Walkers Stadium. Holloway has endured a difficult start to his reign and Leicester are perched precariously just above the relegation zone. Four points from the last two matches have hinted at improvement and Warnock believes the only way is up for City as long as Holloway remains in charge. "People say that me and Ian are very similar. Other than Ian being a lot uglier than me, we're both passionate, we both care about our teams and we've both done it the hard way," Warnock told the club's website. "We've both had lower league clubs and we have built all of our clubs on, first and foremost, hard work - and I don't see anything wrong with that. "It is hard when you go to a new club. I know what he's been going through because I went through it here. You want to change things but you can't do it overnight. "Ian will do a good job. He has changed a few things around and, over the next 18 months, they will be a force to be reckoned with." Leicester assistant manager Tim Breacker has told his players they must not be fearful of their in-form opponents. "In this division anyone can beat anyone at any time," he told the Leicester Mercury. "If you are on top of your game there is no-one in this division you should fear. You will see surprising results all the time."

Thracian Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Pre-match soft soap. Avoid anything that winds up the opposition. Holloway needs to ignore it.

He's not bald Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Just don't drop it. Or do as the case may be. Makes no difference what that little weasel says, Palace are due for a beating and it's gonna happen tomorrow night!

Wind up ???? fail to see anything other than praise and respect myself, just remind me everyone, exactly why is it we dislike NW, he`s a brilliant manager, entertaining to listen to and would kill for his teams / players, if it has anything to do with his comments re our administration EVERY other manager said the same things, the only real difference was that he had the balls to say it publicly and I respected him, even for that.

Bet he wouldn't have whinged so publicly if it had been his own club (Sheff Utd at the time) who had cleared most of their debts by going into adminstration!! Leicester just took advantage of a loophole in the admin rules which has since been closed (or at least restricted) with the 10pt penalty - NW and Sheff Utd would.ve done exactly the same given the same situation.

I think you should perhaps read the post again.
Fatbloke Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I think you should perhaps read the post again. Yep, have read it again (carefully) and my comment stands so keep your eye rolling to yourself !! Your point ???
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Didn't any one see or hear that Ollie brought a picture of Mrs Doubtfire to his pre-match press confrence and said Warnock looks like Mrs Doubtfire
Matt Posted 29 January 2008 Author Posted 29 January 2008 Didn't any one see or hear that Ollie brought a picture of Mrs Doubtfire to his pre-match press confrence and said Warnock looks like Mrs Doubtfire People at work were saying something about that, I couldn't quite understand what they were on about, I'm trying to find it on YouTube or something. I did set the tape to record it, but it was a dodgy tape...I seriously need Sky+ (Or HD)
Ibbyfox Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Your point ??? Isn't it obvious? My point is that is why many hate Warnock!! He whinges all the time about things that he would do himself given a chance (i.e. advantage from going into admin). Enough thought the same against Palace last night aswell so to Mr. Warnock
