Cruel on PNE, very.

Good.

I really do hate Preston. Glad they're out. Scummers.

Hope Portsmouth go all the way.

Me too, i'd love to see a team outside the big 4 win it. Which could well happen this year. Here's to Man U/Chelsea in the next round.

Preston blew it big time.

I too would like pompey to reach the final, at least then if man utd play them it will be decent opposition.

I would like a lower division side to make it but Man u v bristol rovers would be the worst final since man utd v millwall.

They hardly blew it considering the positions of the two teams.

No more excuses for Rafa now. He had the money and blew it. On what?

Torres was an excellent buy, but where did the other 20 odd million go?

£16 fcuking million on Babel :crylaugh: Considering players like Nani, Berbatov, McCarthy etc. blah blah were brought for A LOT less

What a waste.

I think the criticism of Babel is very harsh if I'm honest. Whenever I've seen him play he's looked a constant threat. Very direct how he goes about his business. Lethal shot on him and quite quick and skillful. However, I don't think Benitez has handled him particularly well, limited chances to play from the start seem to hamper his effectiveness in games.

Also, you're comparing him to out and out strikers like Berbatov and McCarthy, hardly a fair comparison as most of his starts have been from wide positions.

As for Benitez, I think his time has finally come. As much as the Liverpool fans won't want to admit it. The rotation policy has grown tiresome and it's clear it doesn't work for them, regardless of how it's worked for him in the past. They're only fighting on one front now, the Champions League, they've got a tough tie as well next week. Inter Milan. Surely if the American owners want to protect their investment, they can't run the risk of finish outside the top four this season.

Babel will have his time.

Next season possibly.
