Simon Posted 15 March 2005 Posted 15 March 2005 I' d play the all new long ball 1-2-9 formation Walker McCarthy - Maybury Moore - Connolly - Dabizas -Dublin - MDV - Williams - Wright - O Grady - Lineker? 78647 Yes, because we all know that football is a 12-a-side sport. 78705 It seemed to be going that way on Sunday!
filbertway Posted 15 March 2005 Posted 15 March 2005 i would like to see walker kenton mcarthy dabizas maybury gillespie hughes williams tiatto dublin moore anyone agree or disagree with that?
Mark Posted 15 March 2005 Author Posted 15 March 2005 Disagree, lets have a donkey free partnership up front for the first time this season, lets try Moore and Connolly.
City Fan Posted 15 March 2005 Posted 15 March 2005 I think we should go back to a 4-4-2 tonight, but with a diamond in midfield. I would like to see: -------------------Hirschfield Kenton------Dublin------McCarthy-----Maybury ------------------Gudjonsson Gillespie-------------------------------Tiatto --------------------Williams ------------Moore------------Connolly SUBS: Walker, Canero, Hughes, De Vries, Heath But I reckon it will be: ----------------------Walker Maybury-----Dublin---------Dabizas-----Stewart Gillespie------Nalis--------Gudjonsson---Tiatto -------------Connolly------De Vries SUBS: Hirschfield, McCarthy, Hughes, Williams, Moore
Hazza Posted 15 March 2005 Posted 15 March 2005 Walker Kenton McCarthy Stearman Maybury Gillespie Williams Hughes Stewart Connolly Moore _________ Gone for Stearman because Watford's forwards are quite fast, though it will probably be Dabizas, but i just think he should be given a rest. Jordan at left mid simply because i'd give him a chance there, easily his better position and it gives Tiatto a rest, plus i thought his distribution on Sunday was quite poor anyway. Williams and Hughes in the central midfield as it's a must win game, so we may aswell go there to attack. Joey has improved considerably but midfielders by nature should be box to box, and like i say, we need the win. Connolly and Moore because de Vries hasn't performed, and was looking really tired on Sunday. Connolly and Moore's pace against Watford's backline would be important.
Sparky Posted 15 March 2005 Posted 15 March 2005 I'm amazed so many of you have Dublin in your selection, considering his age and that he was doubtful for Blackburn and that was only yesterday I just can't see him starting in any capacity, West Ham maybe but not tomorrow. 78360 dublin starts
