City Fan Posted 14 March 2005 Posted 14 March 2005 I have always liked Paul Dickov and I still think he is a legend because of how good he was for us. My respect for him has dropped quite a bit since yesterday - not because he put us out the cup, but because of his celebration. Normally, players who score against former clubs they have been with for a while, just walk away instead of doing a mad celebration.....

Most people loved Sav when he first left them he slagged LCFC fans off, and kissing the badge/going mental when they scored against us...that was the final straw. -I hated Dickov when he left, celebrating the way he did yesterday was again the same a Sav, the final straw Theres a chant for/about Dickov i'd like to post but the same as the Dickov story i've heard, it could get people into trouble

The reason that other players dont celebrate as much when they have been at a club is because they respect the fans i wouldnt be supprised if Paul has lost all respect for city fans after that.

lcfctom Posted 18 March 2005 Posted 18 March 2005 Dickov's goals got us promoted when the club really needed it, so for that I respect him. He showed no loyalty to the club when he left us for Blackburn and I think that sucks!! We rescued his career and supported him after the La Manga incident , letting him continue to play. Yea he celebrated with the Blackburn fans after all the stick we gave him I guess you cant blame him but unlike Rooney he didn't come and rub our noses in it by doing it towards his old fans, so for that respect
