Churchill Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 I think that this season has just been such a mess with managers coming and going new players coming in then going again. At the start of the season i could not wait for this season to start with MA coming in then getting alot of new players, not having a bad start to the season then MA goes in comes Megson bit bad to start with then things start to look better then Megson goes to bolton in comes Ollie good win at Bristol then went down hill abit again then Ollie gets his players in great result against Coventry. This season has just been a real rollercoaster ride aint it i just can't wait to get this season out the way and start again next season. Hopefully next season will be better than this one

Hopefully next season will be better than this one I must agree - it has been a very funny season - then again so have the past few too - I genuinely hope to see a real improvement under Ollie's stewardship although the signs aint good - the loss to Blackpool was a real stinker and I really thought we'd win

Neil982 Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 What is it they say? Keep The Faith? I guess thats all we can do now Like the man said, bring on next season, a fresh start and no lookin back hopefully!
SamL Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 What is it they say? Keep The Faith? I guess thats all we can do now Like the man said, bring on next season, a fresh start and no lookin back hopefully! A fresh start - We wish for this every season and there's still no improvement. I'd rather forget this season, a few highs and too many lows. No consistency what so ever. I'd love to think ' Bring on next season, a fresh start', but it's hard getting disappointed season after season.
samuel Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 It has been a funny old season.BUT - We were wishing for next season last season weren't we. Still no improvement. Yes and there will be no improvement anytime soon.Leicester City Football Club never fails to disappoint.
Churchill Posted 3 February 2008 Author Posted 3 February 2008 It has been a funny old season.BUT - We were wishing for next season last season weren't we. Still no improvement. Yes but really the team we had last season was not going to take us up really most fans including myself thought we was going to go up when Rob Kelly took charge he kept us up and we was beating some good teams but the team we have this season is good enough to be getting top half of the table. Really this season has just been a mess.

There's always the prospect of beating Plymouth to look forward to, send them back to the South with their tails between their legs
SamL Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 There's always the prospect of beating Plymouth to look forward to, send them back to the South with their tails between their legs To be honest, Plymouth are no exception. We should be thinking this about every team we play at home. I hope for another decent-ish home performance. I wouldn't mind a crap game with a scrappy winning game, just as long as we get the three points.
Churchill Posted 3 February 2008 Author Posted 3 February 2008 Soon as are home form gets better are away form goes crap
Legend_in_blue Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 I'll settle for a finish above the bottom three to be honest after what was witnessed yesterday. Once we hit 50 points, I'll sleep a little easier. Although getting there ain't going to be a walk in the park. 5 wins required - and fast.
LeeCovFox Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I think in terms of Ollie, judge him after he's had a pre-season when the team will truly be his, not after January during which, as far as I can work out, he has brought in mainly loan signings as a stop gap to keep us up, despite his apparent optimism in interviews. I think the things he says publicly may be for the benefit of the players. Its always nice to hear a public backing of one's ability. Personally, after the upheaval of this season, survival would be pleasing. The end of the season will be a relief and I'm just glad we have a manager whose past record is indicative of an ability to wheel and deal a little. This is necessay, as Milan is certainly not as rich relative to other chairmen these days as he was when he bought Pompey. I really wouldn't expect any big spending at the club until we reach the top flight. In order to do that we will require some good management. I think Ollie can give us that.
Tommy G Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 It has been a funny old season.BUT - We were wishing for next season last season weren't we. Still no improvement. Too fooking right. Same old same old each season, wishing for improvement. I'm sure come this day next year it will be the same again!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I have personally loved this season more than ever cos i've been able to watch or Listen to most matches this year and i found this forum which has been great as i didn't know there were this many fickel loyal supporters. I also got to meet a couple of Leicester supporters to watch the Scunny match rather than supporting Leicester thru Game casts and OS. But really we just need some stability on field and off. All it seems to be is So and So left and So and So just signed its almost laughable if it wasn't cryable
