Holloway Lock-in

The players will probably tell him that they would like to play good football but its pretty hard when no one knows where they are playing. If he thinks last nights performance was down to anybody else but himself then he is dillusional.

What a load of crap. The players made no effort today. Every time a defender picked up the ball there were no options on, everyone stood still waiting for someone else to make the effort, even our central midfielders (Oakley was least guilty of this, though).

When the goal went in the players all threw up their arms and looked at each other.

I feel sorry for Ian Holloway trying to get that lot to play well together, but he's not helped with his team selection.

But Ollie said judge me when i've got my own team here, He had half his team here 6 of his players played yesterday, 5 pre-Holloway.

I'm not slagging him off, I want him to carry on doing his job here and before 2 games ago I really thought we were turning the corner, all i'm saying though is their his players and based on yesterdays performance and presumably it was similar at Blackpool are they any better than what we already had.

Because I still feel the anger and disappointment in the new players as I had with the old team we started the season with, obviously we need time, and if we can make progression and build on the team in the summer which we obviously will perhaps then we will see better things, but i'm not getting dragged into the mind set again, because thats what we all thought last summer, we were all really excited just to be disappointed, again.

I have to wonder if part of the problem has been Ollie slagging off the players publicly. Maybe this buch simply don't want to play for him. I'd also imagine he is scared for his future. He knows how trigger happy Milan can be. I think we all need to get behind Ollie. He wants what we want. The players clearly couldn't give a toss either way.

That is exactly what I have been saying all along. When Holloway left Plymouth he lost his own best asset.....his motivational skills. And why?. Because after all his lies, who will believe a word he says.?

Also if I was a grown man and professional footballer and I was slagged off publicly, I would find a way to pay him back. It's called human nature.

I know I'd be wanting to prove him wrong which what i've always said, if someone slags you off you get two types of people.

Weak minded people - Who crack, crumble, roll over and prove the person slagging you off right.

Strong minded people - Who would want to prove the person slagging you off wrong, and throw it back in their faces, get praise, and rewards.

Take your choice, I know which one I am, and would be in the situation.

I see it quite differently:- strong people will get rid of a poor leader, and find one more to their liking, and so enhance the group's chance of success..

Weak people will put up with whatever is thrown at them, because they are afraid, and hence will always underachieve.

But then we will probably agree to disagree, as I am an Argyle fan and you are a Leicester fan. Good luck for the rest of the season...you'll need it with a tarnished manager in charge that never believes anything is his own fault. Eventually Mandaric will sack him, but if you're not careful, he'll take you down first.

You are right Matt, absolutely right.

What Bluemoon is describing is what is known as "childishness"

Well put it this way (I know we're going to the scapegoat, but its a perfect example) IF Stearman pulled his finger out his arse, he may not still be here, he might have been signed for Villa, he might be in a half decent (Although I hate to admit it) Premiership team, but no he'd prefer to play shite and collect his money at the end of the week, and yes he could be at Villa, getting a better wage, playing for a better team but at the end of the day he's not getting bad wage here, for getting away with playing like he is/has done.

As I said I know he's the scapegoat, the easy player to blame, he didn't play yesterday because of a suspension, but the last two season's on a whole all of the above is true.

I don't think it would make a diffeence if Ollie did cartwheels around the pitch. The players just don't care.

APATHY.

Personally I think that Holloway has let the Plymouth thing completely get under his skin..... it made me cringe when he said he wouldn't celebrate a goal or a win against his former team. I like Ollie and hope he will do well here but its about time he forgot all about Plymouth Argyle, there fans chairman etc etc and remembered that he is, now, employed by LCFC and got on with the Effin job

I have to say I thought the same thing myself when I listened to the post-match press conference. I'm not saying they don't deserve it after the tripe they served up yesterday but he was quite damning of his players and saying he'll be moving the new ones on if they play like that. Can't be a happy atmosphere and would make the players resentful of the manager - I'm thinking there has to be a compromise between slagging your players off unduly and praising them when they don't deserve it (eg Carl Cart when he got jeered a while back). The players need to respect the manager to want to play and give their all for him.

I think Ollie will learn from this big time!!! (i hope he bloody does)

He knows he got this game wrong!! Big Time!!

It still annoys me that Plymouth were awfull but we looked at least 50 times worse!!!

Anyway... We must now move on its a easy one next week.... Watford lol

BUT i'm optomistic about this one, Watford, Top of the Championship, The players know they will have to turn up, the know they will have to perform to stand any chance in this game because its one of the top sides in this league.

If only the players (and Ollie for that matter) realized whether the opposition is Barcelona or a pub team, If they don't apply themselves, play to win, perform they don't stand a chance of drawing let alone winning, Even if it is a pub team we play just because the players at Leicester City FC are (apparently) high standard players if they don't play well we won't win, Simple.

Ollie can scream and shout and lock the players in as much as he wants.

I am worried that he couldnt get them to play for him in a game which obviously meant so much for him.

Dont get me wrong i still think he is the man to sort us out but he has ALOT of problems and alot more work involved than im sure he ever thought he did at this club.

LIke he siad we take one step forward and 2 steps back.

He knows we got problems-he has to address them QUICKLY!

I think the guy has lost the dressing room. It has happened before..it will be the players that move the manager on.

Where are the leaders?

The captain should be geeing them up when this happens, none of this looking at each other crap.

Goal against, victims, lock, in, what response will we get...

Deja Vu is on fookin Sky at the moment, it's a film, I don't need it in real life as well.

Recalling some of the loan players might be a better option.

They couldn't possibly be any worse than the sh!te we saw last night!

Any kind of semi-reasonable competition for places has to be a good thing - and I'd like to be seeing goals on TV being scored at the Walkers and not down in Bournemouth

So would I.

As long as the goals are scored by us!
