Tevez Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 That's class, i've done that in 5-a-side once, but i wern't a physio.
Joe. Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 This was on a Question of Sport's 'What happened next?' feature a couple of weeks ago. Just what was he thinking?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 I love that he headed it instead using his hands, which would have been much easier and just as legal Quality!
Asha Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Not as funny as that ball boy who came on to the pitch sneaked the ball in and the goal was given
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Anyone know what the ref gave? You're a ref aren't you DB, what would you have done? *tense drum roll*
DB11 Posted 13 February 2008 Author Posted 13 February 2008 Anyone know what the ref gave? You're a ref aren't you DB, what would you have done? *tense drum roll* I don't know what he gave but the correct procuedure would have been to stop play as the physio would have been deemed an outside inteference. The restart would have been a drop ball. Had the physio been a coach or something he'd have been removed from the technical area but you can't remove physios (in case a player is seriously injured etc.)

Would this be in an area advantagious to the defending team or the attacking team?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Where would the drop ball be taken. Would this be in an area advantagious to the defending team or the attacking team? Good point. I would guess it would have to be where the offence took place, ie just in front of goal line near the post (it looked to me as though it would hit the post at such an angle as to have gone in - but funny stuff physics!). A contested drop ball there could have been just as hilarious!
DB11 Posted 14 February 2008 Author Posted 14 February 2008 Where would the drop ball be taken. Would this be in an area advantagious to the defending team or the attacking team? Restart from where the ball was at the time of play when he headed it.
