Away form, away kit

I blame the yellow kit!! I'm sure any archivist or statistician would confirm my deep suspicion that we have always been better in white. And blue shorts and socks ain't doing it home either. Complete bollox I'm sure, but a change of kit is as likely to have as much impact on this bunch of headless chickens as a change of manager or another on-loan striker who can't hit the proverbial barn door.....

I agree... get back to the kit in the days of Guppy, Lennon, Izzet, Savage, Elliott, Taggart, Heskey, Cottee et all... them were the days...

Two of our three wins have been when we've been wearing the yellow kit. It ain't the kit mate.

Was this taken from the Holloway Book of Excuses bychance?

It most certainly is the kit, I have scientific proof.....we've won two games in yellow....how many have we lost? There you go, conclusive evidence that I'm right. White shirts with admiral logos round the shoulders need to be found immediately and a play-off spot could well materialise.

According to the predictor thing on the BBC website, its still mathematically possible with other results being predicted realistically... as long as we win EVERY game from now on! ;)

The University of SomewhereupNorth had a professor being interviewed on 5Live two days ago - their research proves that teams win more if they wear red.

The worst colour?

Yellow.

Now, wasn't there someone on here that keeps harping on about having a red away shirt to bring back the Jock Wallace spirit?

OR we have just been playing badly?

but we have more foreigners in english football nowadays and they don't follow those "red wins more" rules

Uruguay , Argentina, France , Italy, ( even Brazil had blue shorts ) have enough world cups between them to disprove the red theory

please please please no red strip, we are a blue team and although we have to have alternatives strips, yellows and white should be good enough ;)

I have told them so many times now it is getting boring.

You didn't mean me, did you?

International matches were not included in the research.

It was a summation of all matches played from the end of WWII, which is a reasonable sample for a survey in anybody's book...and facts are facts - red wins more than any other colour.
