Help me with my dissertation!

I am currently a third year Criminology and Sociology B.A Hons student studying at the University of Bedfordshire. As part of my third year studies I am required to complete a ten thousand word dissertation on a Criminological or Sociological topic of my choice. I have chosen a topic that relates to the Sociology of Football module I am taking part in during this third years studies. The title of my study is “The gentrification of football fandom in Britain: A case study of Leicester City F.C.”

Gentrification of football fandom is an increase in post-fan culture and an increase in supporters of a higher socio-economic status in football crowds. The aim of my study is too gauge, using questionnaires answered by you the fans, to what extent if any gentrification is taking place at Leicester City Football Club.

If you wish to assist me in this study then I would be very grateful if you would take the time (approximately 5-10 minutes) to fill in a short questionnaire (the majority of the questions simply require you to underline an answer). If you simply p.m me your email address, or leave it in this thread I will send you a copy of the questionnaire to fill in and email back to me.

I have set up an email account specifically for the responses to my questionnaires, and all responses remain anonymous. The questionnaire file will be virus scanned prior to sending to avoid any virus’s etc.

Upon completion of my study, I will be happy to post the resultant findings on here so that you can see what you have contributed to.

If you want people to participate then I think you need to adopt a different approach, no one can be expected to either leave their email address in open forum or to send it to a complete stranger.

I'm sure it wont be, but it could be scam and your address could have already been passed on to a thousand spammers.

I have considered it, but as the study deals with things such as earnings i did not think people would want such personal info put onto a public site! By emailing them to me i thought it would preserve a bit of privacy in terms of fairly personal details, i will delete this email account once my results have been compiled anyway. The questionnaire doesnt ask for your name or address or anything that personal either.

I mean by all means, if people are willing to fill out their results on here and post them, i will be willing to put it up on here. But as i said, i did not think people would want the world seeing how much they earnt etc!

As I said I'm sure you are genuine but there have been many instances of people using dubious covers to obtain information. I'm quite happy to fill in a questionnaire for you, post it on here and I'll send it to you.
