In reality what it means is "The referee gave a early penalty, We got an excuse early in the game which led us to giving up and having an easy afternoon's work"

Would anyone accept bets on this excuse being given after the match? What odds are being given?

(And no i'm obviously not at the game, Infact i'm not even listening to the game on the radio because like the players i've gave up, and don't really give that much of a fuk, I can read Leicester City Football Club like a book, I've not seen the penalty but the fact of the matter and the point i'm making is that the penalty was given in what the 10th minute there is still 80 minutes to get back into the game but no we concead a further 2, and have decided to give up, and certain people will still excuse it and blame the referee.)

I never said you did

As i said, 80 minutes is enough to score, but when you have a player less, it is that much more difficult, especially at a team like Sheff U. There's no blue tinted spectacles on me, just an unerring grasp of reality and honesty, instead of picking up on pathetic reasons to disregard Ian Holloway instead of the people who should rightly be ridiculed - the officials. They have not costed us the game as such, but have brought on unneccessarily, the feeling of 'oh no, not again', and left us with a mountain to climb.

I wouldnt mind so much, but it happens to us too often, and in the players current state of mind, what is it gona do to them?

Haha. Yeah because surprisingly we are Leicester fans and want the team to do as well as we can. To do well, you need some luck aswell, which is what Sheff U have had so far. Im not worrying at all though, Barnsey are going down.

All i'm saying is they are very weak individuals, and i've been saying it all season. I always thought sports people wanted to be the best, fought to win, then I remember our playing ain't sports people. I say the club picks a few fans our the stands registers us and we'd play better than these little shites because we'd actually step up to the plate and actually want to win.

It's a fact of life, even the best sportspeople in the world, if they get any sort of losing thought in their mind, thats often what they go onto do.

Just got back (Im living in sheff), can't beleive the pen awful, the ref didn't give it, the lino gave it and told the ref to send him off, it simply ruined the game, the freekick was absolutely diabolical by Henderson, it was probably one of the worst hit freekicks I have ever seen, yet it went in.

At the end of the day I really don't care as I wasn't expecting anything it was just annoying regarding the manner in which we lost we never stood a chance.

We just have to win our two home games againt Wednesday and Colchester.

I'm a great believer in the fact that you have to create your own luck in this game. However, today I make an exception. The decision for the penalty where I stood was bloody awful. Once it was given, he had no choice but to send Kissy off but at least with it being a straight red we should have the chance to appeal it. Doesn't alter the fact that the decision ruined the game for us (along with pretty poor defending within the next 10 minutes).

Absolutely mate, we pay good money and to have the game ruined for us straight the way is such a joke it completely ruined the game after 10mins.

Me and a few mates tried our best with a few amusing chants in reference to a certain girl in a scarf, but at the end of the day if Leicester loose and my accy doesn't come in, it's saturday night over.

For sure, it just keeps on happening, and i'm sure if i watched loads of other games with other teams, the same thing would happen. the standard of refereeing is quite frankly diabolical.
