turkish14 Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 of course if fit....... reasons 1...gives 110% every game 2...passionate 3...experienced(been captain before) 4...wants a contract(cud be gud/bad) 5...vocal and leads by example(unlike clem/kis/oakley) 6...plays middle of park(better all round awareness) 7...head doesn't drop Im not saying this will save us from the drop,or these are the reasons for our prediciment were in. but we need a leader to give us a chance. opinions?
Corky Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Where was he yesterday? We missed his presence badly.
Simi Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Where was he yesterday? We missed his presence badly. Injured yesterday.
turkish14 Posted 27 April 2008 Author Posted 27 April 2008 He was injured,im praying he's available next week

Does he, will he be here come next season, I doubt it. Ecspecially if we go down. No, he SHOULD play middle of the park, but the fact we still have no left winger, he is playing there, another tactical genius move by Holloway. But yes, I would much rather have the armband round Hendrie than Oakley!
Lets Be having You Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 he can not play next week its in the deal

Tilley Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 he can not play next week its in the deal Pardon? Are you having us on?? Why wouldn't be able to play against Stoke?
turkish14 Posted 27 April 2008 Author Posted 27 April 2008 he can not play next week its in the deal why?
Corky Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Pardon? Are you having us on?? Why wouldn't be able to play against Stoke? He's on loan from Sheffield United, so I can't see a reason why he wouldn't be able to play?
Tilley Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 He's on loan from Sheffield United, so I can't see a reason why he wouldn't be able to play? Yeah, thats what I was thinking.
the beange Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I think hendrie would make a decent captain to be honest. agree with your bulletpoints about him.
Kilworthfox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 money grabbing little twaat. Yeah he was great for you and your anger suggest that you really liked him in a Stoke shirt?
boothenend Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 yeah loved him.he said he loved the club then refused to sign,i wonder why???££??
Basingstoke Fox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Heres how itll go down Theyll score in the 9th minute Well miss a penalty Hume sticks one in on the 44th minute Theyll Miss a Penalty Hendrie 89th minute from 25 yards keeps us up and keeps them down YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST
Ultra Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 We need leadership badly - especially with Kisnorbo out. Making Hendrie captain (providing he's fit) is a simple, straightforward and logical decision. So Holloway will stick with Oakley...
Kilworthfox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 yeah loved him.he said he loved the club then refused to sign,i wonder why???££?? I like the guy, said he wants to sign for us He can play and also he has the passion & drive I love that in a player
Corky Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I like the guy, said he wants to sign for us He can play and also he has the passion & drive I love that in a player What I'm worried about is if we sign him permanently will he still have the passion, with a contract under his belt?
Kilworthfox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 What I'm worried about is if we sign him permanently will he still have the passion, with a contract under his belt? Nah he's always been like it, you don't lose passion to play
turkish14 Posted 27 April 2008 Author Posted 27 April 2008 The great thing about hendrie wether he'd be captain or not,he's an irritating b***ard to every opponent he faces, hopefully will get rite in there scummy faces.and gee are players up
Thracian Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Providing he can stay fit Hendrie is exactly the sort you could build a team around. You can actually see his desire to win in his face and in everything he does. I'd make him captain anytime. I bet the bloke's seething about Saturday. After people who can pass and people who can play a bit I do like players with attitude and he's the whole bundle from what I've seen so far. Eleven like him and Hume and I doubt we'd lose a throw-in at our level - whatever our level is!
