I've been a big flag waver for open source software like Open Office because it's as good as 'Office' and it's free...but I've just installed Office2007 this weekend and it is very impressive.

Likewise - I've upgraded my Adobe suite this weekend too to CS3 and *wow* I'm impressed.

I agree with that.

I have Open Office for Linux, it's pretty decent but it's very limited.

Microsoft Office 2007 is very impressive. It's much improved from the 2003 version and much easier to use. Some functions can be hard to find though. ;)

I had to redo an application form four times because of Open Office - and then I discovered it had messed up the formatting I had to do it a fifth time...and missed the deadline.

Open Office got the boot from that minute.

Grr *shakes fist at open source*

Yeh I had open office but when you saved it in word format it sometimes messes up. I er then obtained 'legally' Word 2007. Its a big improvement over previous versions.
