sdb Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Can't see a thread on this - apologies if there is one So what's everyone think? I'm verrry excited, personally think Utd and Chels will both win but would love emile to throw a spanner in the works! Relegation wise, it's tricky. Reading can't score let alone win, and it's hard to tell if they even care any more. but Derby away should get them 3 points...shouldn't it? I think Fulham and Brum will both draw, thus going down. Excited!!!
SamL Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Manchester United to win the title. Fulham and Reading to go down. You heard it here first.

Moreton Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Premier League Title The Premier League season comes to a close this afternoon and just like the Championship, there are things still to be sorted on the final day with Manchester United who can wrap up title glory for the second season running by blasting Wigan at the JJB, Chelsea need to better Man United's result at the bridge, who are level on points with Chelsea, as their goal difference is far superior. Can Chelsea relive the days of Jose Mourinho? Wigan Athletic Vs Manchester United | Odds - Man Utd - 1/4 - Wigan- 12/1 - Draw - 9/2 Chelsea Vs Bolton Wanderers | Odds - Chelsea - 1/6 - Bolton - 18/1 - Draw - 11/2 Relegation It has come down to the wire at the other end of the table with Reading, Birmingham and Fulham, 2 of which will be relegated today, battle it out to stay in the top flight. Birmingham host Blackburn at the St Andrews, Championship bound Derby play host to Reading and Fulham play FA Cup finalists Portsmouth at Fratton Park. All three teams needing a win to have a chance of survival and to not join already relegated Derby County. Reading look to clinch Premier league football for a 3rd straight season and Birmingham trying to prove the critics wrong, that they can establish themselves as a regular Premiership team. Can Fulham (favourites for the drop) ,who a few weeks ago looked destined to go down, follow in West Ham's footsteps and pull of the great escape? Birmingham Vs Blackburn | Odds - Birmingham - 5/4 - Blackburn - 9/4 - Draw - 9/4 Derby Vs Reading | Odds - Derby - 9/2 - Reading - 4/7 - Draw - 3/1 Portsmouth Vs Fulham | Odds - Portsmouth - 2/1 - Fulham - 11/8 - Draw - 9/4

As I said before, I think Manchester United will win the title and Reading and Fulham will go down.

Matt Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 WTF is going on in Wigan?! Thunder and Lighting...Pissing it down? It's beautiful here, Looks like the middle of winter at the JJB.
lildave3 Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 WTF is going on in Wigan?!Thunder and Lighting...Pissing it down? It's beautiful here, Looks like the middle of winter at the JJB. That's what happens up north. Meanwhile, so much for drama so far!
lildave3 Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Brum are down then? Yeah, sadly. Bit of a shitter if all 3 of them win yet 2 of them still go down isn't it. Meanwhile, what the **** is going on at Man City?!
davieG Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Yeah, sadly.Bit of a shitter if all 3 of them win yet 2 of them still go down isn't it. Meanwhile, what the **** is going on at Man City?! Yes - Reading could win 3-0 and still go down, the goals may have come too late for them. One thing it confirms you never can be sure you'e become established in that league. Managerless in effect

Would have thought the players would have either wanted to do it for their manager, or the manager would have wanted to do it to fight for his job!
Matt Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Giggs! Take that your rich bastard in the small suburb in Fulham!
syston_fox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 That's the title to Man Utd then.... 2-0 now. Ryan Giggs! And 6-0 to Boro against man city??? Mental!
davieG Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 That looked like Wigan saying 'help yourself to a goal and the Premiership Giggsy and Man U' UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Giggs! Take that your rich bastard in the small suburb in Fulham! Are we not a rich bastard in the East Midlands, not that it's done FA for us!
syston_fox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Boro 7-0 Man city..... Wonder if all those people protesting to keep Sven are regretting it now?
lildave3 Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 7-0 now, ludicrous. What kind of team have they actually put out?!?!
davieG Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Boro 7-0 Man city..... Wonder if all those people protesting to keep Sven are regretting it now? I would imagine it's got more to do with him going! He's probably given up and that has affected the players.

Mental! 7-0 That looked like Wigan saying 'help yourself to a goal and the Premiership Giggsy and Man U'Are we not a rich bastard in the East Midlands, not that it's done FA for us! Not really don't Derby have the Mickey Mouse club...surley they have more money. And also the fact it's done FA for us is exactly the point...They may be able to buy the best players...They won't make a team that can win the league though...How about building your team, building your reputation over years instead of looking for the quick fix.
syston_fox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Poor Birmingham and Reading.... winning and still gonna go down!! Although.... if Reading win 7-0 then they'll stay up and they're up to 4. Havent scored since march 22nd and got four away at derby
