Jay Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Ace. now is this about the day today or the day today? one of which is slightly more ace than the other with Chris Morris coming out as the winner by a mile!! anyway TPH you have a LOT to answer for at the minute and you are solely responsible for a my new addiction!!! I can't stop listening to The French - Wu Tang Clan song!!! it's just so good!!
stez Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 it's the finest comedy that's ever been made, or likely to be made. fact me 'til i fart. did you mean that? or that the day today has been lovely, weather-wise?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I saw it not long ago and thought it had dated a bit. Brasseye is still ACE though - one of my all time favourites
stez Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I saw it not long ago and thought it had dated a bit. Brasseye is still ACE though - one of my all time favourites the trouble is, the real news has now become the day today, they (the real news programme makers) were petrified of turning into the day today, but now they seem to've forgotten all that and there's financial susans, gay desks and ott graphics all the time. like the other day, i was watching the news and the reporter mentioned something was 'the tip of a very big iceberg' and the graphics decided to show a 'very big iceberg' even though the story was about gordon browns shitness
Jay Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Two words: Bomb. Dogs. It was over in seconds - a dog and three people dead from guns. Being old, they would have died soon anyway, but the dog, which contained no explosives at all, was shot to ribbons in its prime. By six o'clock this evening a monument had been built, marking the end perhaps of the relationship between man and dog!!!!! brilliant!!!
The People's Hero Posted 11 May 2008 Author Posted 11 May 2008 I meant the show - and yeah, I love it. I've been meaning to get hold of it for ages and I found I had a WHSMITH gift card with some money on it so snapped it up for £8 today. Bargainous. Brasseye is brilliant too. As for THE FRENCH - the whole album is good Jay. Have you ever checked out Hefer or any other of Darren Hayman's work?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I saw it not long ago and thought it had dated a bit. Brasseye is still ACE though - one of my all time favourites Brass Eye is brilliant. The Pedoph Isles.

Have you ever checked out Hefer or any other of Darren Hayman's work? no I haven't for some reason I always classed them as a boring run of the mill Indie band that I would never like but it seems I might have misjudged this one!! there is some greatest Hits Album on emusic so when my subscription refreshes in a couple of days I might investigate further

Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Brass Eye is brilliant. The Pedoph Isles. "Police in Sheffield are on the look out for a man disguised as a school" The paedophile special was particularly good. A satire on media hysteria, prompting a massive frenzy of errm..media hysteria. Some MP (Tory I believe, cannot remember which one) went on record saying it was all an absolute disgrace before admitting she hadn't actually seen it
The People's Hero Posted 12 May 2008 Author Posted 12 May 2008 His kids are in the filing cabinet. It's absolutely first rate. What is it about paedophiles that makes them so irresistable to children, anyway?

The Tories made equal fools of themselves over the "cake" episode, though..

The People's Hero Posted 12 May 2008 Author Posted 12 May 2008 More experience I suppose?OT:- Does anybody know anywhere with jobs going? Finance Industry is prefered.... Thanks! On the subject of jobs, I need a way to make some money out of office hours as want to keep my full time job. Any ideas?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Tessa Jowell, a Labour cabinet minister..The Tories made equal fools of themselves over the "cake" episode, though.. It brought out the best in everyone. I liked how on its first broadcast they only had a handful of complaints, but then it was in the papers and when it was shown again a few days later thousands of people complained. It was almost as if people were deliberately tuning in to be outraged. That of course would NEVER happen. I've just remembered the bit where Dr Fox explains that paedophiles have more in common genetically with a crab than they do with ordinary people
Tabou Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I need some out of office monies. Or another job. Nothing heavy, c£50k OTE is all I'm after. I'll work hard and long, 'til, say' 3pm? On the subject of jobs, I need a way to make some money out of office hours as want to keep my full time job.Any ideas? I sell cocaine to school children. They, inturn for a cheap deal, refer 3 mates. It's all about the networking. I also rent out my body.
