Samilktray Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Predictions for the most random transfer yet to be confirmed?
Flynny Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 A mate's telling me on MSN how he hopes Man U (who he supports, naturally) don't get Berbatov as he's the exact same sort of player as Tevez and Rooney. ... What!?
JoeyB Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Manchester City have made a dramatic late deadline-day swoop for Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Robinho. The deal to bring the 24-year-old was completed shortly before the midnight cut-off point, and he has signed a four-year contract. Robinho, full name Robson de Souza, scored 25 goals in just over 100 games at the Bernabeu, during which time he won two La Liga winner’s medals. He moved to Spain after his attacking talents caught the eye in his home country when with Santos. He has also scored 11 times in 42 caps for Brazil. He becomes City’s fourth Brazilian player, joining Elano, Jo and Glauber Berti. Manager Mark Hughes exclusively told mcfc.co.uk, “I am absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to work with such an incredible talent like Robinho. I have said that in order to compete with the best teams in the Premier League we have to be in the market for players of this calibre, and Robinho is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world. “I am really looking forward to introducing him to the rest of the squad, and to the City fans at the earliest opportunity. This is a real statement of intent as to the ambitions of Manchester City Football Club.”

Flynny Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Were you two kidding? Berbatov's gone ManYoo. Time for bed. I'm kind of hoping against hope that he's not.
LeeCovFox Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 If Berbatov doesn't actually move I will not be happy. My guess is that Spurs will want to be able to announce Owen and/or Heskey along with Campbell to appease their fans, who will not be happy with Berba leaving if nobody else is coming in.
LeeCovFox Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 It hasn't been confirmed, but the rumours have been pointing in that direction for a while now.
lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Campbell to Spurs, Berba to United. 30.7 million pounds, jesus.
LeeCovFox Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Beat me to it! Silly money, but not unexpected.
Flynny Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 At least Spurs have done alright out of it. +50 million combined for two "pretty good" strikers who are nevertheless not quite world class.
Ross-Kemp Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 At least Spurs have done alright out of it. +50 million combined for two "pretty good" strikers who are nevertheless not quite world class. £30mill plus Campbell for a year, well worth it me thinks
Samilktray Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Wonder if Spurs have spent any of that and were yet to hear about it.
