How much of a perk is the 10% Shop Discount on your ST

Its "Up To". There'll be one crappy mug with 75% off, the rest will get small discounts like 5%-10% in a desperate bid to sell something, as I can't imagine that stuff being too popular right now.

why arent they advertising it on the OS

They sent me an email with '75% percent off' emblazoned across the screen in enormous font. Definately seemed desperate to me

Perhaps it's just for ST holders although I'm no longer one despite getting one email or one text every day from them begging me to buy one, I even got post from today.

I also received post from the fantastic business people at LCFC today. As if the early bird price scheme has not been rammed down my throat enough, I get yet another reminder today on a piece of cheap card.

Many thanks.

I will let you stew until the 13th hour on the 31 May.

As for perks. ST holders don't get perks. The only perk I see that I get is the guarantee of my seat being there week in, week out, a great view, within earshot of the bench and surrounded by the nice, friendly people of Leicester.

Any discount in the store is immaterial once you've got your scarf, hat and mug. Everything else is tat, who in their right mind would pay for it?

In order to sustain some sort of level of credibility, they ought to at least (a) cease the £4 charge on payments made monthly on your ST and (b) offer the FA Cup 1st round free.

Like I said, I'm letting them stew. They're making us stew, so they can have some of it back.

Give us some firm answers and you might see me make some sort of effort to go down and get my ST before May 31.

They'll have to downsize some of the merchandise ranges anyway, there'll be more City shirts in the shop than are actually sitting it the stands next season. Thousands of pounds worth of dead stock, they need all the deals and offers they can get.

They could have kept the season tickets at the same price but given higher discounts in the shop, on programmes & refreshments etc and a lot of people would have been happier. There's no forward thinking in the club, no initiative from anyone thinking how they can get more people through the gates. They only need to pick up a paper to see two things:

Credit crunch/Economic disaster

Fans unhappy over ticket prices/depressed over relegation

Aldridge puts the two things together and thinks "Price increase". Criticise Tim Davies all you like but he had a good sense of how the average fan was thinking, this guy's sitting in his ivory tower out of touch with anyone.

I've just got back, you're dead right. You can also get a 'Fulop Number 1' tee shirt for £2.50. lol

I think the average fan was thinking "Why are we the only club in the football league who can not spend a single penny on transfers?" - if he had a good sense of that then why were so many things cocked up? Why didn't he do anything about it?

Nice bloke, City fan and all that - but inept as a businessman for us.
