TornadoShaunUK Posted 2 April 2005 Share Posted 2 April 2005 Anyone hear about this? Newcastle had both Kieran Dyer and Lee Bowyer sent off for fighting with each other in this game... Villa must like the controversial away visits.. - first their 5-0 against us last season which sparked the whole Ian Walker/city fan confrontation.. now this one

Ricey Posted 3 April 2005 Share Posted 3 April 2005 They will both miss the FA Cup Semi-Final now, it serves them right.
foxesfan69 Posted 3 April 2005 Share Posted 3 April 2005 Apparently Newcastle are letting Dyer off as they believe it was Bowyers fault. Until Souness talks to the chairman they can't make a decision on Bowyer. Maybe could be sacked. I wouldn't have liked to be in that dressing room after the game..... JamboFox Posted 4 April 2005 Share Posted 4 April 2005 Did you's know that Craig Levein was involved in a similar incident while playing for Hearts resulting in a broken nose and black eyes for his then team mate Graham Hogg. The scene was a pre season friendly at Raith Rovers, Raith had just won a corner in the first half and Levein and Hogg turned round to each other in the six yard box. Levein one punch (like Brad Pitt in 'Snatch') and Hogg was down with Levein moving in over him to finish off. Both were sent off and Hogg had to leave with the physio and loads of blood pouring from his beak. They both got the book thrown at them by the officials and Hogg soon left Hearts after being half the player Craig Levein was. Imagine that though, intelligent mild mannered, seemingly placid Craig Levein once knocked out a team mate with one punch. Only in football eh! Someone said they were worried about Craig seeming a bit mild mannered, and that came up. Didn't realise it was in a pre-season friendly though Tough man Craig.
