Corky Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Why isn't there a Barry Fry impersonator? Couldn't we have a cross between Barry Chuckle and Stephen Fry for that one?
Hammster Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Isn't that the guy from Loughborough? Theres a Sven-a-like who lives in Loughborough and hes always getting stopped for autographs No he's my second cousins dad, he lives in London.
Svenalike.co.uk Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/jul/17/mexico The story from Mexico was a false report from a rival to the media group who engaged me for the week of harmless "candid camera" style pranks. I am grateful to them however as the truth was soon out but in the mean time I achieved more free publicity than I could have dreamed of! Follow on interview video here:

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 I was in Barcelona about 4 years ago for xmas and that bloke was staying in our hotel...everyone kept on starring at him, the likeness is ridiculous...I actually thought it might be Sven...and then I clocked his Mrs!
Svenalike.co.uk Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Bloody hell, these Sven impersonators get everywhere. There have been a few Sven "lookalikes" who have come and gone in the past, but there is only one Sven "double". I've not quite been "everywhere", but all of the premier league stadiums (including filming for "Goal! III" the movie at the Walkers stadium), many of the minor league stadiums, TV specials in the UK, Sweden and Mexico, 4 weeks on top of the pops reloaded, 6 episodes of an ITV2 comedy series that was "comedy pick of the day" in the week end telly guides and too many other things to mention.... Some adventures, images and videos at: http://myspace.com/svenalike if anyone is bored or interested..... Derek Williams Proud to "be" Sven.
Svenalike.co.uk Posted 11 October 2008 Posted 11 October 2008 I was in Barcelona about 4 years ago for xmas and that bloke was staying in our hotel...everyone kept on starring at him, the likeness is ridiculous...I actually thought it might be Sven...and then I clocked his Mrs! Members of the England team (and Sven's old staff at TheFA) have been "confused" so you're not alone. Happens all the time and there are stacks of paparazzi photos of me on the web that are tagged with "Sven-Goran Eriksson" seen at OK party or F1 launch party etc etc and there are several foriegn press stories about Sven that have been illustrated with MY pictures. All weird and a bit freaky..., but mostly good fun! Great Christmas break in Santa Maria (Barcelona) BTW and I would reccommend that hotel to anyone!
