DB11 Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I just played a few and won 'em all convincingly One I was down to 10 men, altered my tactics to go all counter attacking and won 4-1 so he quit Second I scored the best goal I've ever scored on FIFA! Ribery on the right flank, did a cross fake and cut inside on the edge of the 18 did finesse shot and it curled into the top opposite corner hitting the post/crossbar on the way in - 3-0 up at 41 mins and he quits Third game I score early on and think this will be another killing. Straight after I get two yellows straight away for Vieria (ref played advantage I did two bookable fouls with him before play stopped ) Anyway so I go all defensive again but he equalised I've used up all my pauses so can't alter anything (this is in the 31st minute! ) So, he's all over me and then his connection went so I won I can't remember the last time I won a game where the opponent didn't quit :o

Apart from a few optical touches to the players' appearances and some minor adjustments to AI, I can't really spot a big difference compared to last year's version. It plays exactly the same and feels exactly the same way. "Be A Pro" might be a nice addition, but I don't see the point in it, really. Last year, the choice was obvious, as PES 2008 was a mess and played like an early 90ies arcade game. This year, however, I'm disappointed that EA didn't really improve more about their football flagship. The menues look crap, with fonts too small and overcrowded with information - or maybe I need an HD Ready TV to fully appreciate its graphic glory??? Nah, better off playing NHL 09.
