Basingstoke Fox Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 Thats why I was so hacked off this time Oh well onwards and upwards
Finn Claw Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Chelsea away was the best citeh match i've seen in years, so many highs and lows and the fans were incredible. Arsenal away next season 5-4 win, FACT...* *I'm aware that Arsenal is North London
Bert Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Also note that every time we were leading in every single match.
Tommeh Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 And all matches were unbelievable nights out regardless of the results. We're so lucky as fans to have such great ties and spiritited city performances in these cup games season after season.

It will come when they keep pressing well up the pitch and maintaining tempo right to the end instead of trying to slow the game down and conceding ground voluntarily and unnecessarily. After so many examples you really do think we'd learn. The simple approach when you score a goal is to try to score another one. And so on.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Bring on QPR/Brentford in the FA Cup I say. Brentford with a DJ Campbell hat-trick

Because I think they tried to press as best they could, but had put so much effort in for the other 80 minutes, there legs just didnt have enough juice for the last 5-10 mins.
Corky Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 It is frustrating, but I would feel for the fans who made the trip had we lost 5-0 and hardly had a kick. We've put up massive fights on all three occasions against rich clubs and class players, and they've done the club proud.

When will you learn?

The simple approach when you score a goal is to try to score another one. And so on. We were pushing for a third and in fact Howard was unlucky not to have got it! The fact of the matter is (and was against Chelsea too) when you're playing against teams with people like Bullard and Schevchenko (sp?) sometimes you just have to stand back and admire a brilliant goal.

The simple approach when you score a goal is to try to score another one. And so on. But I'm sure you'd have been complaining if we'd gone gung-ho for the third goal and conceded. It is a bitter pill to swallow, but you must accept that the opposition, if they play to their best on these occasions, will win. It is a learning curve for the players and Pearson, so I'm sure everyone will try their best to avoid it happening again.
Wilkesy Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Also note that every time we were leading in every single match. Also note that i was at every match
