WTF is this steam rubbish anyway? I've installed but steam won't log me in. I'm steaming.

Who ever thought of the extra authentication needs to be sacked, because their are pirate versions out their already

Nobody from Sega/SI seem to be answering questions or even responding anymore, I bet they have all pissed off for the weekend.

The best thing is i bet people are out there playing a cracked version already when people who actually paid for the game are sitting on the hands.

don't wanna sound like i'm bragging but the only problem i had with authenticating was the code of the licence key, mind you I installed it around midnight before the servers probably crashed from all the traffic which they really should of expected

Same - it said I had the wrong license key, so I used that web link that SI have provided and found out that my 0 was really an o. I then tried it again and voila, piece of piss.

What a game.....

I've got Ian Walker in goal! 6 points from 3 league games, and got a juicy League Cup 2nd round tie against West Ham next. Just signed Sergey Rebrov for £250K as well!

7 hours and 20 minutes. Still ****ing ludicrous though. If I have to do this whenever I wish to play this game (provided it loads anyway!) I think it'll be going straight back to the shop. Livid.

SEGA are aware that there have been some problems with the activation of Football Manager 2009 today. This has been due to a combination of issues relating to the printing of keycodes and the huge demand for the game

A solution is in place and is starting to clear the problem, we are confident that the issue will be solved today. The chances of successful authentication are increasing hourly. At this point consumers still experiencing difficulties are advised to leave a 10 minute gap between authentication attempts.

SEGA apologises for the disappointment caused by the problems with activating the game and asks for Football Manager fans to remain patient.

Verifying the keycode online, or that's what it's supposed to do, To prove it's a legit copy.

I'm very pissed off. I have nothing at all to do this evening seeing as my entire flat has gone home for the weekend as have seemingly the rest of my friends. It's now a choice between Children In Need or Football Manager Top Trumps (nice little freebie from Game!) by myself. Fun, fun, fun!
