JoeyB Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Has anyone brought it from TESCO yet? Yes £29.71 - with Tesco points aswell
Mikey Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 For ****s sake I didnt even want this game, but now all of a sudden im having urges to go buy it. Me neither but now I really do. Well tbh I only didn't want it because I thought it wouldn't work on my Mac, becasue I don't have Intel, (only on my dads Mac). But now DB11 just shows a link to a patch so that it works on non Intel Macs!
Fox You Forest Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Some of the stuff on SI's forums is hilarious. Maybe if you lot learned how to do your ****ing job there would be no need for profanities. I paid £30 for a game that I am not allowed to play because you morons have tried to crack down on 'pirates', i have been on a number of websites where torrents of the game are readily available so that worked well, didn't it ?I can't believe the incompetence at SI. GET THE ****ING GAME WORKING NOW .

dandannieldanok Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Deary me, this kinda shit normally happens for me and me alone. The tables have turned. Anyone wanna know how my game is getting along
Lovejoy Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 DB11 is that Ricky from Eastenders in your sig?
lildave3 Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Glad I haven't bought it then, i'd be doing my nut if it wouldn't work for me.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 shall i not bother buying it then? Sounds like it is only a temporary problem, so if you were planning to buy it then go ahead, just don't expect it to work instantly. As for the game itself, people who normally enjoy the FM series won't be disappointed by FM 2009. It isn't a whole lot different to FM 2008 but then why change a winning formula, the small things they've added (perhaps bar the 3D engine which I don't use) enhance it's quality greatly.

potter3 Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 If you sue Steam you don't have to be connected to the internet to play the game. Just get a warez version. I have for years. No steam crap for me. Someone will work it out soon. They did with Half life etc. They have lost my custom due to Steam being crap. I would happily buy it if it worked within 30 min of me putting it in my PC. Not gonna spend half a day like Lovejoy unfortunately has.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 I'm sure you'll also be delighted to know I've just got Robinho back from the injury he starts with.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 I have a little message saying: "Ready to play in approximately: 13 hours 13 minutes." You what?! Seems to be going down pretty quickly actually, it's done half an hour in 30 seconds. What the balls they have tried to do here is beyond me. Ludicrous.
Maybes Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Gotta love it how I was playing it at 7.30pm last night and am about to start a multiplayer game! G'won HIT ME!!

Darkzzz_ Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 5 hours and still no game. I am not expecting to play it tonight so I will go for my meal and drown in some alcohol, then resume first thing tomorrow. What a bitch !!
Lovejoy Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 I'm sure you'll also be delighted to know I've just got Robinho back from the injury he starts with. Next time you mention on here something unfortunate happening to you, me (and probably quite a few others) are going to give you the ribbing of a lifetime .

Bert Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Gotta love it how I was playing it at 7.30pm last night and am about to start a multiplayer game! G'won HIT ME!! You can lend it me and my comp can be one of your 5.
JoeyB Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 You can lend it me and my comp can be on of your 5. You what? Apparently Reading on the steam forums, some users are considering getting a cracked version just to play the game. I also found this: SEGA are aware that there have been some problems with the activation of Football Manager 2009 today. This has been due to a combination of issues relating to the printing of keycodes and the huge demand for the gameA solution is in place and is starting to clear the problem, we are confident that the issue will be solved today. The chances of successful authentication are increasing hourly. At this point consumers still experiencing difficulties are advised to leave a 10 minute gap between authentication attempts. SEGA apologises for the disappointment caused by the problems with activating the game and asks for Football Manager fans to remain patient.
Bert Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 You what?Apparently Reading on the steam forums, some users are considering getting a cracked version just to play the game. I also found this: Joeyb pulling me up on literature. Oh dear. Sorry missed a letter off.
