Uncle Albert Posted 22 September 2008 Posted 22 September 2008 What's wrong with having a nasty bastard in the middle of the park (provided he's a decent passer of course)? Gennaro Gattuso has made a pretty successful career for himself. One player that I hate. But like you say he has made a successful career out of it. Champs League winner and a World Cup winner not bad for being a complete twat.
Koke Posted 22 September 2008 Posted 22 September 2008 I don't like him either, but he's good at what he does and if one of the world's elite clubs have time and space for a nasty **** like Gattuso, then surely little Leicester are not too big for a player of his style. We saw what happened against Millwall, we badly needed someone to get his foot in and use the unpopular bully boy tactics. Millwall had Fuseini and Abdou, and it worked. The theory that Tiatto was the core reason for our failure over the years is utter nonsense. He played his part in our downfall but so did 10 other players on the playing field.
The People's Hero Posted 22 September 2008 Posted 22 September 2008 Tiatto was our player of the year one year. This thread is ridiculous.
Lillehamring Posted 22 September 2008 Posted 22 September 2008 1) After a poor clearence from a goal kick, JJ Melligan headed the ball up into the air. King was unchallenged and brought the ball down and passed it to Chris Powell. Powell played the ball to Dyer, who turned and knocked it on to Fryatt, who then laid it on to Howard. Howard seen a gap in the defence and played the ball through to Dyer. Dyer went on to score. i think this emphasizes why this thread has been so 'boring' - that description there is excellent and is the sort of thing i want to read in a post-match thread, sadly, most of this thread was filled either with thracian going through the motions and people rising to this, or with people moaning about how we weren't world class for 90 minutes... as it goes i've read all of it, and it wasn't exactly boring, but it's a shame there wasn't more posts like bert's here, enjoying the quality of footy we can produce when we play to our potential, so flynny, delete all the posts bar bert's last post
