lookwhaticando Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 6,448 in attendance. Goals from Dyer, Fryatt, King. Top stuff in the end.
Smiffy Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Seems to have a habit of missing sitters though, eh?
Cobbo Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 May not have been a great performance going on what people have said here, however, we have won 3-1, got the 3 points and we move on. Loving it. Win the scrappy games along with the ones you dominate = promotion. Good to bounce back with a win.
Jonezy Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Nothing like stealing a win. Happy days return...
Thracian Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Why Pearson uses him so sparingly is a mystery. If any defence is organised and at ease, Campbell is the kind of guy to unsettle them.
Nugent Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Really needed that win today. Well done lads.
kyleolly Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 yes an excellent win in the end very important according to the radio we would of been down to 10th if we hadnt of got the 3 points today
Unabomber Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Fantastic result, looked like we were going to get a draw at best at time during the second half. Key to win games like this, really happy. Cheers everyone.
Joe. Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Get the **** in! Lot's of alcohol to be consumed tonight now!
Thracian Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Twelve goals in the last four away matches - quite an achievement.
fox123 Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Get the **** in! Lot's of alcohol to be consumed tonight now! Indeed I need to re-pickle me kidneys!
Mark Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Why Pearson uses him so sparingly is a mystery. If any defence is organised and at ease, Campbell is the kind of guy to unsettle them. At least he brought him on for an ineffective striker today instead of sticking with Howard hoping for a goal, though a little late.

Thracian Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 At least he brought him on for an ineffective striker today instead of sticking with Howard hoping for a goal, though a little late. From what I've seen an hour or so is plenty for Howard. Okay, Pearson's decision worked but for me he cut it very fine.
Lester LXXIV Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 We were lucky! Thank god we've escaped with 3 points!
Cobbo Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 From what I've seen an hour or so is plenty for Howard. Okay, Pearson's decision worked but for me he cut it very fine. I agree with changing ineffective strikers with those of a different nature, however, when we have taken off Howard before, because we have no big stong striker to hold up play, we seem to have struggled a bit which is why I think he will be reluctant to bring him off.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Get in there! Well done lads. Sometimes we shut off abit when we are drawing away with 10 to go so its very pleasing to see that we have gone for it away from home right to the end and picked up a brilliant result. Cheered me right up that result has.
Joe. Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I've been at work for virtually the duration of the match today, from listening to the radio did it wound like we deserved it ?
Matt Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 While we were drawing (And that's the way it was looking) I was gutted, It felt like a loss, and after last week this was a game we really needed to win today. Thank-fuk we did win it! Sounded good in the first half, Second half (Bearing in mind I can only rely on commentry) it sounded like last weeks performance until we woke up in the 80th minute. Swop last week for this week, and we're back on track (On the basis - Win your home game, Go to win but be happy with a Draw (Possible loss) your away games)
Nod.E Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 If Pearson meant to do that - he is a genius. If you ask me it was a mental game. He made out towards the end we're going for a draw by bringing on a defender. Leyton Orient think the match is over and relax. BAM! DJ comes on, 3-1. Not sure if this is how it was intended - but if so. Genius.
AmericanScott Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 It seemed that Fryatt's late goal made Orient stutter and we grabbed that insurance goal. Good win for our boys! :appl: :appl:
